Had my op yesterday, really wasn’t prepared for the amount of pain I’d be in, can’t even use to hands to pull my duvet over me, or raise my hand to scratch my face. Is it normal to be in this much pain? Honestly feels like it’s never Going to go away :'(

Hey, sorry to hear your in so much pain. I had my op on Monday and felt exactly like this yesterday, but today I honestly feel so much better. I think it’s normal for you to feel this way the day after, just keep on top of your meds and get plenty of rest and you should eventually see some improvement as the days go on. Xx

Poor you Abbi, I really feel for you. It’s quite scary after the op when recovery starts, the reality of what we have done kicks in and we realise that it takes time to heal. I had overs which are not as painful, but I have still struggled with the bruising and swelling. I think trying to stay calm and remembering everyone go through this stage, it will pass and each week will see an improvement. keep on top of your meds, eat well, drink plenty of water and try and rest hunny. Really hope you are feeling better soon xx

I’m exactly the same today. Thinking wtf have I done. My tablets are making me feel really sick aswell. I think I’ve got more arm movement than you but sitting myself forward is so painful. Just feel like I’ve been kicked by a horse! I’m okay once I lie still but when I move it hurts so bad. I know it’s best to keep moving so every hour or so I keep going for a walk around the house. Hope it gets better for us tomorrow. Sending my love xxx

I had partials Hun, what about you? It’s such a shock to the system isn’t it? I was in so much pain yesterday but do feel slightly better today, although I can feel it coming back again. Ice packs seems to help a lot, maybe give them a try x

Oh bless you babes. Wishing you a speedy recovery and hoping the pain eases off for you very soon. Try to remember the pain is only for now and the results of amazing new boobs are forever. Sometimes it’s down to whether you had overs or unders I know understands are more invasive and often more painful, and can also take longer to heal. Make sure you stay on top of your painkillers and rest as much as you can. It’s all worth it! Xx

All your support means so much girls, it’s good to know I’m not going through this alone. After reading the comments seems like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I had partials, woke up in more pain this morning it’s like a burning feeling every time I move and my insisions are stinging like mad, is this normal? Xxxxxx

I’m in a lot of pain and discomfort, I’m starting to get more movement in my arms but not much, like I can’t even hold my glass of water someone has to hold it for me while I drink out of a straw, hope it gets easier, really starting to get fed up now it’s driving me insane and I’m only 3dpo. Hope you all get better soon xx

    hi Girls
I am really feeling for you struggling in the first few days. I had overs 9 days ago, so I think your pain because of being under some muscle will be even more that what mine was. I just want to say to you try and stay as relaxed as you can, calm and positive, the pain really does start to ease. I had my worse days on 5&6 my bruising was so bad, even breathing in was hurting and my breasts were so swollen and heavy I hated the feeling of being stretched it was making me feel sick. I had a little (or actually quite big) panic of why did I even have them done.
I am now 9 days po and they are definitley getting better each day, bruising and swelling are really healing well and my breasts are very slowly (still early days) starting to feel a bit more normal.
I think its actually a major surgery and it will take at least 6 weeks to start to get over the surgery and 6-12 months for the breasts to settle in to the shape and feel that we want.
Good luck girls with your healing and I am sure you will be feeling so much better in a few days time xx

I had mine done last Thursday and I’ve sat there loads thinking what the hell have I done! I had unders and oh wow I was not prepared for what was to come, I’m still not able to do much – even now! My hair is vile and I feel like a smelly homeless old man! Lol. It’s got a lot easier since the first day, but I still haven’t even seen them! I get the strapping off today so super nervous and excited at the same time. Don’t worry about not being able to do stuff, I couldn’t do a thing. I was genuinely not prepared for it which is probably a good thing as I reckon I wouldn’t have done it if I would have known. Wishing you the best with your recovery, not much longer and we’ll be through it and out the other side 🙂 x

Abi, sorry to hear that you’re struggling with the pain.
Are you taking ibuprofen and paracetamol?
    Are you using ice packs.
I’m just out of surgery and hoping for a swift and painless recovery. Xx
