How long do the incisions stay sore for? Roughly. Mine seem to be getting tender everyday and I can see them under the strapping so just wanting to make sure it is normal I guess. So paranoid honestly lol xx

Haha your like me any one thing I’m like OMG worrying like anything lol. They are gonna be sore you gotta think you were only cut open less than a week ago, your body is healing, and the strapping on top of them might be causing more soreness. That’s what I’m putting it down too, like my right side when I push myself up in bed, it feels like some strapping pulls on the incision and it hurts, where as left one is fine.. But I can’t see mine, gonna have to wait until Monday when strapping comes off.
I’m sure everything is fine hun xxx

Haha exactly like me, everytime I sit up in a bed and it feels slightly painful I’m like OMG I’m putting too much pressure on it and I panic and end up just staying where I am lol. I’ve heard it feels better when strapping is off, so I cNt bloody wait.

Have you been out in the cold yet? Shivering is really uncomfortable on my boobs, it feels very strange! Lol xxx

Yeah I know what you mean.. I managed to wash my hair and shower yesterday, but it took a lot of energy out of me. But my Boyf insisted we went out just toget me out the house & my god, the cold and the shivering was the most uncomfortable I’ve been!

I didn’t have strapping, but my incisions were sore for a few weeks really. Nothing ever constant or really painful though, just very uncomfortable with twinges of pain and a sore achiness if that makes sense. I think the main concern with incisions at this stage is infection, and you’ll still be on antibiotics, so I would imagine there’s little chance of any pain being that. I’m sure you’ll have your mind put at ease on Tuesday when the nurse removes the strapping and looks them over. xx

I hear you ladies! When you shiver & get goosebumps outside it feels really strange lol
I went out yesterday too.. Fed up of staying in! Was a bit exhausted last night! Stopped taking my painkillers on day 3, continued with paracetamol, and stopped taking them last night too! They are stil sore though but not in pain! Just sudden tinges and funny sensations!
What’s the deal with those white socks? I took mine off yesterday :-/ xxx

It is to prevent dvt which is deep vein thrombosis, it can happen after surgery something to do with the blood flow in ur deep veins becoming blocked, if the clot breaks up into pieces it can travel through your blood stream and into your lungs, if it is a big clot it could be fatal. That is what they told me and scared me half to death so mine are on and staying on. Again tho every hospital says different so if they told you to take them off u will be fine! I think its quite a small risk after BA surgery anyways, more of a risk if someone in the family has had dvt. xx

Yeah I know what they are for I just thought you only wear them whilst being operated on and in hospital, just got worried when people said they still have there’s on lol.. I just make sure I don’t lie around for too long lol. Bet you look lush with them on haha xx

Yes I look very attractive lol! I want to take them off but I am being a good girl and following advice. I think it is very easy to over think things when we do not really know what to expect. Every twinge is like is this normal? Should I do this, should I do that, all part n parcel of the process. I feel so much better in myself now at 5 days po though, I just spoke to NHS direct as my dizziness can be quite extreme worrying me a bit, but she said it is quite normal after surgery and I do suffer with low bp anyways, scary though! Thank god I am not back to work for another 2 weeks xx

@Gemma I have dizziness too! I’m sure the antibiotics are doing it as I’m off the painkillers since early yesterday but get waves of dizziness, and feeling faint x also talking of attractiveness…I’ve got a rash on my face like prickly heat apparently from antibiotics! I can live with it as long as it goes when I go to work on thu x

Hey ladies! Just been reading your convo about DVT and as cabin crew, I know all about it haha. As long as your wiggle your feet and toes around or walk around every now and then, you’ll be fine! Don’t worry 🙂 xx
