Uploaded pictures yesterday I think of my incisions on the end of my right incisions there is a red what I thought looked like a sore . I’ve just got out of shower and as recommended dabbed incisions dry with a clean towel. Noticed a little pinky/orange thing on towel exactly where that ‘sore’ is . It keeps coming up when I was dabbing on the towel to make dry. Put my bra back on and then just now took it off to check and on my bra there is a little mark now too. Anyone else had this? Gonna ring nurse too but just wondering if anyone had any problems ? I’d say it’s like puss ? Not a lot … Have uploaded a picture I just took now, any advice… Worried it’s an infection!!?!? Xx

hey hun it could be a blister…. when I had my strapping took off I had a blister on the top of my boob and it looked the same… but I think you should ring the nurse to make sure its not an infection… xx

if you add me you can have a look, I tried to ring the clinic when i noticed it 3 times but there was no answer, it cleared up about 20 mins later and has been fine since, think it was just cause i was in the shower and it may have gotten wet. not worried about it just gonna be extra extra careful now maybe stick to shallow baths instead and strip washing… not that i wanna but don’t want any problems either xx

Ive got the exact same problem at the moment. I went last wednesday for my steri strips off and was told that i needed to have a new dressing on my left incision as it hadnt quite knitted together in a tiny tiny place at the end. My nurse said i could remove it today and shower for the first time. I removed it and showered (which was bliss) but then when gently patting dry with a fresh white towel i noticed the same thing that there was an orangey substance printing on the towel. I rang my friend up who is a nurse and she said to pat it dry and go get some waterproof dressing called mepore ultra from boots and put a new dressing on just to protect it. I did this but im worried that all the time its covered its not going to heal? Would air getting to it enable it to heal better? But then im scared of it being exposed and getting an infection. The thought of getting an infection petrifies me! Helppppppp x

Look at my pic Nicola Stacy I had same thing bit at end wasnt closed and was red and had the orangey thing. Nurse kept telling me to keep it covered but it just meant it was always moist. Went against nurses advise and let air get to it and it sorted itself out.

Ok laura, thanks for that advise love..im just worried about it getting an infection if i leave it uncovered. Did you carry on showering as normal even though it wasnt covered and was exposed to the water because they stress to keep it dry dont they. I dont want my spprts bra to rub on it and make it sore x
