Incisions…

I’m 4 weeks post op Tuesday and my incisions still have scabs on, is this normal?

I would say yes, everyone heals at different paces, as long as they’re clean and don’t look infected I think it’s fine. Don’t panic, I assume that the nurses have seen them and agreed they’re OK? I work with patients who have knee replacements etc and some people have scabs on their scar for weeeeeks! X

@kayp OK thankyou! Just checking, they don’t loOK infected just seems a long time to have scabs for haha

I still had a bit of scab at 4 weeks, wouldn’t worry about it 🙂 xx

I tried to avoid my incisions as much as possible so even just before my 6 week check up I still had a small scan on one side but it just came away as I was washing one day 🙂
I’m sure even now at almost 7 weeks PO I still have a small rough patch on on end on an incision but the nurse said everything was perfect 🙂 xxx
