Had my check up today everything went well ! But she said my scars are healing nicely and no need to put anything over them , it feels horrible tho I feel like my Macom is damaging them lol and I’m going to get an infection! Did anyone else go without plasters on there’s xx
I kept my plasters on up to 9 days post op, the nurse took the pads off and replaced the sterile strips which I then replaced twice after that although the feeling of pulling the sticky tape directly off the incision was weird so I added a little pad too. I haven’t had anything on for over a week now x
Oo I dunno whether to go out and get some pads to cover them, il have to ring up tmro and ask but just hate the feeling of the Macom on them! Also did you watch yours everyday ? Xx
Nah haven’t really paid much attention to them as they haven’t hurt etc, I try not to over analyse them as I could quite easily get paranoid. I had a first aid kit so managed to knock some pads together at home x
I had nothing on my incisions from 10 days po, just keep the Macom pulled down below them and you’ll be fine. I washed them really carefully with mild shower gels (Johnsons or Dove etc) and gently pat dry, or use a baby wipe xxx

Had my stitches out today, the nurse told me they were healing nicely.
Didn’t put anything bk on.. Think there’s no need now!
She did say.. Be careful nothing rubs (I have a Macom too, just make sure you loosen the straps so it doesn’t rub) Only use fragrance free shower gel etc, pat dry, no baths, swimmming.. I asked about Bio Oil etc & she said not to put anything on them. She said she’ll re-advise in the next check up.
