Is this pain normal?

In 8 days post op and hadn’t had any pain until this morning. I’ve woken up with burning feeling near my left incision and pain in the area, like ribs. Should add if I breath in deep or move suddenly I get a sharp shooting pin through my ribs.

I’m starting to worry about it and wondered if anyone on here experienced the same while I’m waiting for the nurse to get back to me.

Hey Hun it’s normal… Mine started yesterday… I spoke to the nurse when she was taking my dressings off and she said to keep my arm to my side and not to do too much on that side… She said it’s something like the endings trying to reattach… Mines my right side to the right of the wound… I’m still taking pain killers which worried me cause loads of other girls have come off them. And I’m back at work tomorrow xx

Thanks Sammi, I just thought it was odd having no pain and then suddenly this over a week later. I had to stop taking them I was so bloody tired, like literally sleeping 18 hours a day haha

Awwww I don’t blame you I was so worried too… Cause it’s a weird pain… Lucky I was seeing the nurse… Hopefully it settles too!! Mines defo calmed down today… ☺️ Xx
