Ive researched a few sites about breast enlargements saying you need to get new implants every 10-15 years. Is that true? And do you have to pay again? 🙂

When you go for a consultation you will be told about this but, MYA say their implants should last a life time (20-40 years) if you look after them well. So If you don’t have like 5 children etc then you shouldn’t need them replaced.
And yes you would have to pay again, same for if you had them and they were too big or too small to how you liked them, you would have to pay again. Only issues with your implants allow you to have revision surgery.
    Hope this helps xx

I think the rule of thumb is that with a breast augmentation you should expect to have at least one more re-op in your lifetime because the implants are not lifetime devices, they will degrade over time, just like with other medical devices such as pace-makers. But generally you can keep them longer than 10 years, it’s just one of them health recommendations xx

Oh that makes more sense to me, it’s like making them look new again in a way I’m guessing? Xx

Yeah like a refresh of sorts, because if you think about it gravity takes it’s toll after a few years and if you don’t like them you can change them, and if your still happy with them you can keep them lol xx

Yes, I’m hoping that mine will just age with my body and look natural in that sense and the only reason I’d want to re-op then is if I had complications xx

I can imagine the bigger you go the more likely it is you’ll need them redoing.
Have any of you girls had them done yet? I don’t want to regret it xx

I think we’re both having them on 9th next week! ? I was feeling exactly the same as you worrying about regretting it, but after all the positive posts I’ve seen on here and when I thought about not going through with it, it made me feel sad and so I know that it’s definitely something I want to do. The first surgeon I saw offered me 250cc which when I tried the sizers on just made me look like I had a padded bra on, so I saw another surgeon who has offered me up to 350cc which I’m much happier about because I want to be big enough for it to be worth it and noticeable but not huge! So I’m hoping with that size to get to about a C/D xx

Hi Rebekah, firstly good look with your surgery.can I ask who you have decided to go with and why? We look like we have similar stats I too wanted to be a c/D but dr kazzazi told me I have a narrow chest wall so offered me 275cc and said I would probably come out with a full b cup…I know abit disappointing to say the least lol especially as I’ve been a b cup in the past and I just find it hard to believe when I’ve seen girls say theyve had 260cc and there a D cup :/ a big difference from a B ayxx

I’ve wanted to have it done since I was 12! It’s always made me feel so down and I get so jealous of women with bigger breasts then me which is most! How come one surgeon said one size but the other said bigger? 🙂 C/D is a perfect size! Not too big but just right. You’ll have to let me know how you get on xx

@lisaanne and @amber that’s exactly what Dr Kazazzi said to me, 250cc to achieve about a B cup no more. I’m not thrilled about paying that much money for a result that would just make me look the same as I do with a padded bra on! It nearly put me off having a BA altogether. He does specialise in the natural look though so will only offer smaller implants. So my PC suggested I see another surgeon, I booked in with Dr Andrea and he was really great, acknowledged that I am small etc but said that 325cc would be ideal to get me my desired ‘big but natural’ look, however could try 350cc if I was wanting slightly bigger. So I am hoping for 350cc on the day, as I am having under the muscle they do come out a little smaller anyway. Dr Andreas consultation was a lot better in my opinion, I felt more comfortable with him and he showed me before and after pictures of his other work and the sort of look I could expect to achieve. It was more personal and it just felt right. I’ve heard great things about him and I’m really happy with my decision so far. I will keep you posted, once I’ve had the op 🙂 I’m looking forward to it but still nervous about the risks. But I’m sure it will be worth it. Feel free to ask any other questions, or add me if we’re not friends already 🙂 xx

I think if you feel so insecure about yourself because of your boobs the positives defiantly over weigh the risks. It only becomes risky really if you go with a bad surgeon for a cheaper option or when you go too big for your body to handle , but youre not going stupidly big. I’m excited for you and wish you luck! 🙂 xx

Yeah I feel the same just want to look more in proportion and feminine. I’m sure Dr Andrea will choose the right size for me, if the 350’s are too big they’ve also ordered 325 and 300, so I’m confident in his choice 🙂 and any size is better than how I am now which is the main thing. I’m having it at the First Trust Hospital in Preston xx
