well i went for my consultation last week and all went really well. said i needed to get a letter faxed over from my doctor as i have a cyst on my overies and had a mini stroke a few years ago but she said that should be okay..

Anyway I’ve been on the waiting list for ages to get my tonsils removed and just now i get a letter telling me i have an appointment in the middle of jan to get them removed 🙁 i was hoping to go in for my BA in january as well.. i doubt this will be allowed to go ahead now.. what would you do? I’m not sure what op is best to do first?? if anyone could help or advise that would be great. My head is all over the place right now,my nan passed away and her funeral is on christmas eve so to be honest my mind isn’t really on this right now but I’ve been waiting 10 years to get my BA and now the time has come i just feel like its gunna be put on hold once again..

@ellie my opinion would be to get your tonsils taken out first. It’s only a small op and your mouth is the fastest healer! Also I’m guessing you requested this operation on the Nhs? Which means you will be waiting a long time again to get this rebooked! Where is Mya is private so you shouldn’t have to wait as long compared to nhs! That’s just my opinion, your best off speaking to your pco! Sorry for your lost xx

    thank you x

thats true.. I’ve been googling about getting both them near to each other and it says if you get tonsils removed first then be careful about getting a BA as it can make them get infected so wait at least 6 weeks or so..rather do it the right way. i think thats what I’m going to have to do.. thanks for your reply.xx

    Hi Ellie

I had both (not same time) and having tonsils removed i was poorly a good 2 weeks. I couldn’t eat, the meds made me sleep for hours. I couldn’t imagine having them done close together having two lots of discomfort. x

Hi Ellie, I’d say your OH needs to be with you for at least two days minimum. Having seen my daughter who was 19 at the time have her tonsils out and having to be rushed back in the day after for an emergency re-op I’d recommend anyone to have supervision after a tonsil op. I’m not telling you this to frighten you, just concerned I promise 🙂

Diego go for tonsils first too as you don’t want to be back on a long waiting list again.

Hope all works out well whatever you decide xx
