Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me? Im looking to have my BA around may time but i was watching botched up bodies the other night and this lady had a BA and developed a keloid in her breast(where the skin hardens) and because i have mixed race skin(olive skin tone) we are at a higher risk for that to happen. I developed a tiny one behind my earlobe when i had my ears peirced few years back which i had to keep pressing for it to go down im just worried this will happen when i have my BA havent really thought of this until i watched the programme. was wondering has anyone developed this before and sorted the problem or has anyone got mixed skin like I have which has gone through with the BA? Help would be much appricated thanks 🙂

Hi hun, I’m not mixed race but suffered keloid scars when I had a piercing and a mole removed. BA was fine though, scars gone completely xx

You can use micropore tape to help prevent keloids, place a bit of tape over your scar, change every 3 days or so or whenever it gets wet, do this for a year post op and your scars will heal smooth with no lumps or bumps x

I’m not mixed race and have really pale skin and I developed keloid scars after an uplift, I think a lot can depend on your surgeons technique, I’m having to save money to have a re-op done at a different company because I’ve had terrible results and a bad experience with the original people I went with. The best things you can do are make sure you have a good surgeon, eat plenty of things with zinc and vitamin c in post op as they help healing and prevent keloids forming, kale is full of zinc. Massaging the scars after 6 weeks with e45 cream is supposed to stop keloids forming as well. I’ll definitely be using micropore tape next time x
