So I’ve been driving myself crazy all day!! It’s literally taken until now for my scabs to come off (4 weeks tomorrow) and I noticed at the end of my left incision the scab hadn’t come off, it’s always felt a by stingy there and pulls when I stretch too much so I tried to get a decent photo of it as my boyfriend is blind as a bat! I took a photo this morning and it looked 100% like a hole to me, though thought I’d leave it until this evening until I saw my mum so she could have a look, anyway I’ve been sick with worry all day so emailed my pc who said she’s asked a nurse to contact me – I’ve since taken a thousand more photos and got a good one showing the scab to actually be knotted stitches??! Has anyone had this?? Does it just go in its own? I’ve attached the pic I took xx

I know hey, was a lucky shot, only off my phone! I haven’t heard from the nurse yet, pc emailed again to say there’s no nurse in until tomorrow so will just wait and see what she says – hoping I don’t have to go all the way to Manchester for a 10 minute appointment to sort some stitches! Xx

Dissolvable stitches dissolve really well inside the skin, but not so well on the surface. They will probably tell you to get an appointment to see the nurse, if it’s too far, your practice nurse at your G.P can sort it for you xx

Ah thanks girls! I’ll wait and see what she says, if she’s wanting me to go get it sorted then I’ll suggest going to my go surgery – good idea!?? xx

Got a call from the nurse who has told me I need to go in and get them sorted as like you said Katie she told me they can stop the incision from healing properly….. I was thinking of just going to my gp nurse but like my boyfriend said if anything were to happen or if I had any complications it may affect my aftercare if I’ve had care elsewhere?? So I’m going to Manchester clinic tomorrow after work ☺️ Xx
