Labiaplasty / Labia reduction Started by: xxkatiexx

I just had labiaplasty on Saturday. All is well so far, i havent had much pain at all aside from a little stinging when going for a wee at first. I found it really difficult to go at first and had to really push to get anything out even though my bladder felt like it was close to bursting, that was the most uncomfortable part and the blood in the toilet is unsightly, but to be expected.

It can sting abit when it rubs on your underwear aswell, i’ve found that a dry dressing coated in vaseline is great, as it sticks on and prevents any unwanted friction. Glad to say that i am now peeing freely, the bleeding has just about stopped aside from a little spotting, and i havent needed to walk like a cowboy to be comfortable, that was one of my biggest worries as like most women i have kept it a secret from friends and family and didnt want anybody asking questions when i couldnt close my legs! I can honstly say that it hasnt been a problem so far :)

Theres not much on here about this as i think it can be quite an embarrasing thing for some girls to talk about, if anyone has any questions id be happy to help

    xx

O wow my mate could of really done with you when she had hers done!! She said she didn’t know if the op was rare or if it was just that no one spoke about it so good on you! She said she was pretty much back to normal after 2 and a half weeks and that it’s really changed her life so to speak when it comes to be confident with men/at the pool etc….wishing you a speedy recovery and lots of love for having the guts to be willing to speak about it :) xx

Thanks for sharing your story Hunn, I think I may get this done in the future post kids. A labiaplasty is performed to reduce the size of the inner labia. Some women have large labia and it can be uncomfortable aswell as having a negative impact on their confidence x

Why did u have yours done? I was thinking bout doing it the same time as ba.. Mine isn’t obvious but they are abit uneven.. Which I only found out a couple years ago when I decided to spread my legs infront of the mirror!.. Haha..

I have no prob with confidence.. Just sometimes uncomfortable and need to rearrange myself.. Which I remmeber doing since I was 8!!.. So I am use to it but I also read up labiaplasty is more common than people think but also oftenly with bad results unfortunately.. Been cut too much etc..

I may consider it again in the near future.

Good luck with the healing x

I had mine done at the same time as BA and liposuction.

Had it done as my labia was quite long and uneven. Its mainly for confidence in the bedroom i suppose, lets just say it got in the way abit!! But it was uncomfortable in certain underwear too.

Manj, i thought it was going to be really painful, i mean.. iv cut myself shaving before and it really kills so i thought that getting some cut off would be unbearable! i was terrified when i went in as id never managed to speak to anyone that’d had it done. Im not going to say its painless but to be honest the most pain im having at the moment is from my BA, no regrets so far :)

Thanks for all your well wishes girls xx

I dont know about laser lipo to be honest, But no its really not that painfull:)It just feels bruised. I havent noticed the swelling much as iv got to wear compression leggings and they hold it all in nicely :)

It made sense to just to it all at once, its probly going to be the most painfull few weeks of my life but once im healed i can enjoy the results :) xx

Hi yh I wnted to no abt lipo too I hav this stubborn fat on the back of my legs that wil not shift at all bt dno how much n how they do it and pain of it? N well done to u katie for doin al that in 1 go! Xx

    Menu

I had the back/side of my knees done, as with manj it was a stubborn lump of fat that i couldnt get rid of through exercise, and it seemed to stick out from the rest of my legs! Its hard to tell the final result at the moment because of the slight swelling, and because of the pain-in-the-arse leggings i have to wear :) but my legs do look much smoother and more in proportion.

Im not sure how long they recommend you have off after the lipo, but to be honest if i hadnt had the BA i feel like i could return back to my office job now and i only had it dont on Saturday, but i would guess that theyd say a week :)

Manj, its a small incision, about half a centimeter, then basically they stick a tube into the area and suck it out, and the pain i’ve found is completely bearable. i can walk normally, and can almost fully bend my legs without any pain at all! Its fab :). I cant speak for everyone though as iv only had a small area done, i guess the more work you get done the more it’l hurt after xx

Hi Katie, so glad you,ve rasied the issue of problems with labias ! I have been wanting mine sorting out for years but always been too embarrassed to do owt about it. Can i ask, which surgeon did you have and how much did it cost ? x x

    Menu

I went with a surgeon called Mr Foo at Ramsay Healthcare and it would have been £1316 on its own, but i got it discounted as i had BA and lipo XX

    Hi Girls,

Has anyone actually had Dr. Adamo for a labiaplasty op? They havent shown my any pics of his surgery yet! Just wondering if people have been pleased with his results….My op is booked for next week :) Can’t wait! xx

    Menu

i didnt walk funny at all afterwards. Im not sure what Dr Adamo will do, but the surgeon i had used a local aneasthetic aswell as a general, so afterwards i was quite numb downthere. By the time the local aneasthetic had worn off i had just about fully healed. I was a little sore for about 2 days but thats about it, the worst thing for me was when it rubbed on underwear. Girl boxers and vaseline are great for it! I also found it really hard to pee for the first few days, it wasnt painfull at all but just really hard to get anything out! just to let you know, if it happens to you dont worry too much about it, i think it was just the local aneasthtic :) xx

    Hi,

I am a journalist. Particularly interested about labiaplasty, I wish to write an article about this topic. I would like to get someone’s testimony that has had a labiaplasty or would like to get it done. I understand that this is a delicate subject and believe this will be useful for other women.
