Length of time off work

I’m currently still in education with a part time job and would like to know how long people had off work. Work on my behalf is sorted, however would like to knowhow long I’m likely to need off college. Im happy to go back into college when still in abit of pain and being uncpmfortable and just taking tablets. How long it will take till I can return will depict on when I have the operation done.

Hi i havent had my op yet, when is yours? I have booked 7 days off work so hope this will be enough but i would say at least 7 days x

It isn’t booked yet I need I plan it around work/ college as I don’t want alot of time of coege my education is he most important thing! I’m hoping I could return to college within two weeks! I’m a lifeguard as a part time job so won’t be able to return to work for six weeks due to no vigorous exercise for 6 weeks aswell. I want to gather as much information that’s relevant to my personal situation as I can before I book a date. Xx

im sure 2 weeks will be plenty, I work on the returns department at Asos and its quite alot of stretching opening parcels etc and was told I would only need a week off as long as no heavy lifting, hope that helps xx

Hi, i add mine done just before xmas and took 2 weeks which i was pleased i did, needed that bit extra time as was still uncomfortable and not sleeping too well xx

Thank you for the advice guys, keep it coming. I have a very low pain thresh hold and am quite a wimp but all I will be doing is strong in a lecture room making notes!

Everyone is a bit different, my friend only had 2 days off! I had my op on the weds, and was back in on the Monday. I had overs s recovery was quick. If you’re having unders you might need longer x

i havent booked mine yet, ask your pc or surgeon, this all depends on the job you have aswell xx

i felt fine after my op and would of easily been able to return to work atfer 3-4 days if it as an admin job, as long as ur course isnt physical i think u should b fine after a wk. Dnt worry about the pain, i have a low threshold and found it easy just uncomfortable!Id rather hav a boob job than my eyebrows threaded!lol xx

I did think i could return within two weeks!
I won’t be able to return to work for six weeks as I’m a lifeguard. You can’t do vigorous exercise for six weeks so I couldn’t lifeguard with he risk I’d have to make a save.
I want my op now I’m so impatient! I am hoping I will be allowed unders I want to look at natural as possible! Xxx
