Hi all, got a slight problem, I have a medusa piercing, (middle of my top lip) has anyone else been allowed to keep their piercing in? If I take it out it’ll close up, can I put plastic jewellery in?

    Thanks girls!

Hey hun, same with me, had to take out nose and tragus. You have to for ANY surgery. Once your surgery is over you can put it back in when you are at home so I doubt it’ll close up in an afternoon 🙂 XX

    Hi!
I had a chat with my nurse yesterday about the same thing but with my bellybutton piercing. Mine is old but I do heal quickly, so I was worried about keeping it out for days but also didn’t wanna have to try and get it back in when I was drugged up to the eyeballs.
She said that even if I got a plastic one I wouldn’t be allowed to wear it because there’s still an infection risk. 🙁 But, she did say that if you take the piercing you can ask nicely for them to put it back in for you after your surgery. I hope that helps? 🙂

I have a lot of piercings but I have the middle of my bottom lip done I literally took it out before I went down and back in when I came round. I stupidly left my tongue bar in and the team was rather angry about it but took it out for me! Xx
