    Hey girlies
So I had my bloods done last week in MYA and apparently my blood count was low.. they advised it could be just from feeling a bit run down and once I have them again this week if everything’s better my op can go ahead as planned. I’m so scared cause I am a bit run down at the moment, but works hectic and I’m just having a tired spell in life haha. I’m so worried my blood test results won’t be good enough on Thursday and they’ll delay my op.
If they do I won’t be able to get them done until December due to work commitments and it sounds silly but I’ve so psyched up for this now it’ll literally break my heart to not have them for an entire year.

Is there anything I can do to bring my blood count up? Has anyone else had this? 🙁

@Maddie I had a low blood count to and I had to have a blood test at my doctors. My PC told me to eat lots of green vegetables to up my iron levels. . I found this on google if it helps ‘ Sources of iron include red meat, organ meat such as kidney and livers, beans, lentils, dark green leafy vegetables, such as spinach and kale, dried prunes, dried raisins and egg yolks’. I hope it all goes well!

@lornamay7 did you manage to get yours up enough to have the op as planned?? I’ll eat lots of veg and will go buy some iron supplements today.. my blood test is Thursday at my doctors and my op is 17th May so I’m hoping I’ve got enough time to sort it out. They haven’t specifically told me it’s iron that’s the issue, just said low blood count but hopefully I can get it sorted 🙁

Yeah I did. My op is the 7th May and they have just got it sorted. I think MYA will operate as long as your blood count is about 10. Make sure you eat well and try not to worry. I am sure they will get it all sorted xx

No advice but good luck and hopefully all goes ahead and smoothly for you. I can’t imagine the stress just before your op. Hope all is good to go for you. Just Google lots how to get your blood count up and follow advice given above. Xxx
