I’m currently in the process of getting a new job but I’m concerned about having so much time off work if its a new job! i’m currently a beauty therapist and do at least 6 hours of massage on the days i work but hoping to work on a make up counter, so it won’t be as strenuous. How much time off have you needed in either of these roles please?xx

I am a make up artist and am booking my op for between big jobs. I was told by my PC that I would need 2 weeks…. and then my arms would be ok to be up for long periods of time. Good luck!

I’m a beauty therapist, I only took a week off but went back doing more nails etc, didn’t do any massage for weeks, just booked them in with other therapists. Xx

Thanks for your help girls! At my current job we don’t get many treatments that aren’t massage and am allowed as much time off as i need. I’m just not sure what to do about the makeup counter job xx

Georgie, from experience working on a counter, the time you’re actually doing makeup is minimal compared to the time you’re not doing makeup! I think you’d be ok 🙂 and generally wouldnt get makeovers back to back (although depends on where youre working!) I have 4 people to do (twice) for a wedding 2 weeks after I’m planning my op, my PC said I would be absolutely fine
