I feel like all i do is post on this thing… Sorry.

Im just wonderig about massaging as nobody has really
mentioned it to me and i cant find many posts about it either. I heard it prevents any complications with the breast hardening Nd i am eager to do anything i can to prevent complications.
I dont feel ready to massage them yet although i do give them a rub when they are sore but was just wondering if anybody has any info on this Nd when you are meant to start?

I wanted to know about this too. All I know is when I last seen my nurse at 6 weeks she said on her tick list ‘massaging? No you wouldn’t have done that with you only having breast enlargement’ so god knows!! Xx

I’ve been told this time not to as there isn’t any evidence it makes much difference to preventing cc happening. X

I asked both the nurse a few days ago then the surgeon and they said not to. Weird as last time I had to every day, makes me wonder what I should do as I had no problems last time but they to,d me this time not to bother x

Hey I’ve read that with textured implants you don’t need to massage them but with smooth you do, I think MYA use textured implants so maybe that’s why.

It’s entirely down to surgeons preference so only do it if your surgeon says so. Xx

Hi Cecily I didn’t realise you had replied, (not the best on this haha)
Yeah I had mine on the 5th October, had 500cc under the muscle! I’m finally feeling completely back to myself now. Takes a while though! Wasn’t great at first as I caught a chest infection a few days after my op! As you could imagine coughing constantly whilst having two bloody new balls on your chest haha!’ Painful!!! But much better now Xxx
