    Hi guys!

From reading previous posts, some people have had a medial history like depression, heart problems and etc, which they are fine with now and been given the okay by their GP for the surgery. But last minute their surgery has been cancelled due to more things being needed like another ECG or whatever.
I was just wondering if anyone has had a past of things like these and the surgery has still gone a head with no delays or anything else being needed as your surgeon was happy with your results and the okay given by your GP.
I’m booked for March, so have more than enough time to get things sorted… But I don’t wanna be told last minute I cant have it due to my medical past of anxiety, anemia and heart shizzle.

    Sorry for the long post!!!

Heya hun, I was previously anaemic and had past mental health history. I booked an appt with my doctor, and got a letter written to Mya to say that I was completely fine to go ahead with surgery. I then rang Mya and double checked that it had been received and accepted and that nothing needed further detail! My surgery went ahead fine! I don’t know if the surgeon has a say in it also though xx

@ashytonnn Oh god, that’s such a relief to hear no problems. My doctor said my heart was nothing to worry about, him being a heart specialist I think he knows.
So hopefully it’s all fine. He rang MYA himself and asked if they had received his letter and they said yes, but my PC says different?
He’s printed me out a copy of the letter he sent, so should be okay!

    Thanks for your reply!!! xx

If your PC is saying differently I would keep ringing just to make sure as I know a lot of ladies have been cancelled recently!! They put a copy of it in your file so they will only have to get that out and make sure it is in there! If not, make a copy of your copy and take that in lmao! If your doctor says you are fine then I don’t see why you would have any problems xx

Hey hun, from my experience and I’m sure you’ve read my post, even though my doctor and cardiologist both said I was fit for surgery they still cancelled me last minute. Make sure the anesthetist and surgeon look at your medical records before getting your hopes up. It was them that cancelled me rather than nurses or PC’s xxx

@lisabelcher I know, I did. How terrible to cancel you last minute!! How long did you have till your surgery from your first consultation?
My GP, who is a heart specialist said there is nothing wrong with my heart. I just had extra heart beats, which was linked to anxiety.
I still have 3 months till surgery, so hopefully everyone checks my doctors note.
Has anything been sorted for you yet? xx
