Might be a daft question but how long after the op can I start back on the pill? My skin is breaking out and I can only assume it’s from not taking the pill.. That or all the painkillers/antibiotics I’ve taken. X
I believe it’s the same as Amy mentioned 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after …. Taking the pill can cause the blood to slightly thicken never enough to cause any issues but combined with all the anaesthetic etc it could lead to blood clots …. Not taking the pill just lowers this risk
Thanks girls! I read through all the info I was given and couldn’t find it anywhere!! @kirstmc .. Have you had your pre op? I was told them to stop all medication two weeks prior to surgery! Hope it goes well for you!! X
