    Hey girls,
So I went for an appointment last year – unlucky I got denied finance 🙁 with two young kids I have had no luck saving.
For all the girls who managed to get their own money saved how did you do it? I am a nail artist so I’m going to start selling glue on sets which for every 50 sold I’m looking at a 200+ profit. Which should go well as my art is a huge hit. But I’m wondering other ways around earning money aswell.

Thanks for any help loves <3

I have a friend who saved up for hers for four years! It was a long time, but she knew if she was going to have it done, she was going to do it carefully, so she wouldn’t stress about money afterwards. She didn’t have kids, but was a full-time student who only worked part time (no student loan), and put aside a certain amount every month. She also sold some of her old designer clothes, jewelry, shoes she never wore, as well as other stuff she had no use for (she was very careful about this process, as she ONLY got rid of stuff she didn’t use, not stuff that would get money that she still loved).

I have another friend who used myfreeimplants.com and got just under half of hers paid for, but it’s definitely not for everyone.

If you’re going to sell glue-on sets take a look at pinterest and etsy – Post pics of your stuff on pinterest (I’m always looking at the nail designs on there!), and you can sell them on etsy (etsy is a site designed for people to sell their own creations, its marketed mostly towards women, and I have friends who have sold all kind of different things from knitted sweaters, to artwork, to printable organizers to homemade jewelry on there to make a profit). You could even sell how-to videos on there.

The other thing, and this is how I saved for mine, is to budget every single penny. Make out a list of all your expenses, and plan out how much extra you will have or will try and have at the end of the month to put towards saving. Keeping track of every penny is tough, but it goes a long way. Just make sure to keep it reasonable. I always put a tiny bit aside for nights out, or restaurants, movies, etc.

This is a super long post, but hopefully there are some helpful tips in there!! Good luck!! x

I’m the same I work part time and full time so in trying to save every penny. I worked out from last months statement that I had spent almost £400 in H&m, boots, office etc for things I really didn’t need. I’m working to save £2000 towards the op and the rest on credit card. no more clothes spending for me as I won’t fit into them after the op anyway so no point. I’ve also sold some things in eBay too for bit extra. The expense we go to make ourselves comfortable hey! X

    Hi Lou Lou.
I was also refused finance at first and I had no idea why, so if you go on http://www.experian.com you can get one months free trial. This will bring up your credit score and any reasons why you may have been refused. When I checked there was this totally random payment that orange said I hadn’t paid for my phone from years ago, and when I phoned orange they said it had been paid and was just a problem on my credit score. Once that got resolved (because I was furious ha!) I asked MYA to re look at it. So double check that everything is correct on your credit score. MYA then re looked at my application, I had to provide 3 months bank statements and then they said if I could pay half as a deposit I could get the finance, so I did 🙂 little ways to make money, Definatley eBay! If you have an iPhone the app is so easy and literally sell everything ha! But defo check if there’s any way they can check your application 🙂

Hi Hun, maybe you could do a few car boot sales and use ebay for items that could fetch more money. Or how about holding parties for people and do their nails… for a price. You could give leaflets out in town. It could be like holding an ann summers party but doing nails 🙂
