    Post-op girls,
    I’m 9 days post op and I’m waking up with a strange sensation in my boobs. I’m still sleeping upright (I always end up in awkward positions during the night but go back to sitting upright) to reduce swelling but I still feel really stiff and swollen first thing. It gets easier and they get softer as the day goes on but it’s always a struggle first thing in the morning. It feels so weird I can’t describe it! Anyone else had this? xxx

    I get this every morning to, im 6 days post op. I read that its because the pectoral muscles arent used to being stretched this much so they try to go back to how they were before during the night when our arms are not being moved around as much, its totally normal xx

    Yes Hayley totally the same and 10 days post op, so can’t wait to feel normal again it’s exhausting! 🙂

    @beakysbird @sr93 It’s so strange, isn’t it! I’m guessing they will feel alien to our bodies for a while and @katiexo5 that would make complete sense to be honest. I suppose when we are resting during the night, our bodies are trying to get things back to normal/adjust. Hope all of your recoveries are going well apart from this. Are any of you in much pain now? xx

    @alex91
    Five weeks seems so far off but I’m 9 days already! Recovery seems to be flying by! 🙂 Hope you’re ok xxx

    I wouldn’t say pain, other than the morning thing, just a few random sharp twinges and odd sensations! X

    @beakysbird That’s good to hear. It’s the same for me. Can’t believe how quickly I recovered to be honest. Just shows that our bodies are amazing things! Can’t wait to get completely back to normal though. Haha xx

    @kimbarweee Ditto hun. I think the sleeping upright doesn’t help. My nurse said I can sleep flatter after two weeks; I’m so excited to! Haha. The little things! 🙂 xx

    My pain was improving up until today and i woke up in terrible pain in my right boob :(, having strapping off tomorrow so hoping that will ease the pressure. Hope your healing well 🙂 xx

    It’s like our boobs need a jolly good old stretch to loosen them up of a morning!

    Like everyone else I can’t wait for them to just feel like mine! Right now it feels like I have a bra with rice boobs strapped into it!!

    So alien! Xx

    @katiexo5 You’ll feel free after the strapping has gone! It’s such a relief! Haha. @tracyface That must be it! They feel loads better as the day goes on. xx

    @xxcsb I’m like this. My sleep is so broken because I wake up on my side, panic, and then try to readjust to get back to sleep! Are you ok to sleep on your side now or have you got to wait till 6 weeks? xx

    I’m not sure… At my 1 week check the nurse told me to stay upright whilst sleeping for a couple more weeks. When watching TV, I sometimes go on my side for maybe 15/20 minutes just for comfort! I try and fall asleep upright but always wake up on my side, even with my v pillow now! They seem to be good though, so hopefully it’s not doing any damage! xo
