Morning stiffness – unders

Heyy
My pain is very manageable most of the time but the pain and stiffness I have in the mornings is excruciating!! It takes me 20mins to pluck up the courage to sit up and even when i do it makes me cry ?
I had unders so I can kinda understand the pain but how long will it last?? It makes me dread going to bed ? xxx

I’m in the same boat chicken, even typing this is killing, my arms and chest are so tight!!! ? Xx

What day post op are you on? Mine started getting a lot easier by day 5. I used to dred sitting up and getting out the bed as well. It does get easier but feels like it takes forever but really it only lasted about 5 days for me n I had unders xx

I know it’s hard but try sleeping sitting (proped up ) using pillows I had unders and I’ve had very little pain and I’m po day 6 x

I’m exactly the same, I’m 13 days post op and had partials, not really any pain through the day just a bit of bruising at my side but in the morning there so tight and painful! They even look really small and closed in then about 10mins after getting up there fine again! So strange xx

I have two v pillows on top of eachother as well as 4 normal pillows haha! Going to try sitting up a bit more tonight cos i think last night i slipped down. Glad im not the only one but i cant wait for it to end! Im day 6 post op xxx

I’m day 2 po and getting up out of bed the stiffness and discomfort is very uncomfortable . I do hope by day 5 things will start to feel a bit better . Btw , I had unders also on 16th February .

Hey girls i had my post op yesterday which meant my strapping came off and oh my godddd it feels so much better! Some of the pain and restrictions moving I had were actually due to that. Also when I woke up this morning I was stiff but not nearly as bad as before so im happy!:) xxxx

Hey I was in 16th to I didn’t really see anyone and was nearly last to get my surgery .. I had 250cc unders very bruised especially on my middle bit and my boobs have a big gap which I hope goes back to normal as I wanted as natural as possible ?? How have u been sleeping it’s hard getting up isn’t it x

I have my post op nurse appointment t tomorroe and am sooooooo looking forward to it. I had unders on the 12th and am not in pain now but feel so uncomfortable. just hoping after tomorrow I will feel a lot better. Can’t wait for strapping to come off. It’s so reassuring to hear were all going through the same things. xxx

Hi Bri , my admission time was 12 , however I didn’t have my op until 6.30pm , it felt like I was the last person to have my op . The stiffness is awful , especially when I’ve sat down for a while , the discomfort is more like a ache in the middle of my chest . Luckily my arms are ok , I can have a wash , brush my teeth and hair. Can’t get use to sleeping up right , woke up serval times during the night as I couldn’t sleep ..

By the way , the discomfort in my chest , some times it feels like a burning sensation. My kids laugh at me because I have my back hunched , because of the stiffness , they said , I walk like a old women lol
