My op day experience

Hey girls just wanted to give you an insight for anyone that is nervous or worried about their operation and what to expect.

I had my operation yesterday and my admission was 11am. I was running late due to traffic being a nightmare. I phoned Mya and they were very understanding. We parked at the Ncp car park at holiday inn Regent’s Park. It’s a 5 min walk to the hospital. Costs £39 for the day. Me and my friend finally got there for 11.30. We only had to wait in the waiting room for 5 mins before the nurse came to get me to show me to my room. She was absolutely lovely so bubbly and friendly.

I was taken to my room and told to put on the gown and bed stockings along with a beautiful pair of paper knickers. I had to do a pregnancy test. I was introduced to my nurse Roxanna who asked me questions about piercings etc. She told me mr Marcellino would come in to see me and make my final decision on size ( I was given the choice of 400 and 450cc) I went for 450 overs high profile. He came into see me and drew on me and took photos and said I’d be down straight away. This was about 12.30.

I was taken down to the waiting area where again I was asked about any allergies. All the staff are amazing. I was taken into surgery where the anithetist came in and explained what would happen. He put the Canula in and it felt like a small scratch. The nurse put the oxygen mask on me and before I knew it I was asleep. The next thing I remember was waking up with mr Marcellino next to me. I was then taken back up to my room where I felt drowsy but no pain. The time now was 4pm. I do take a while to wake up from anistetic but this happens everytime with me.

As the time went on I drifted in and out of sleep and started to feel a bit sick. The nurse bought me tea and toast but j couldn’t finish as this made me feel more sick. I’m rubbish at being sick so tried to be sick but couldn’t. The strapping is quite tight but not too uncomfortable.

I had to keep drinking water as my blood pressure was quite low. When it got better Roxanna came in and took my drains out. It wasn’t as bad as I thought. Just had to take deep breaths.

I was allowed to go home about 7.30 after I was given painkillers and antibiotics.

I found it hard to eat as I still felt a bit sicky. Sleeping was not the greatest as I slept upright and kept waking up as I usually sleep on my front or side.

I’m at home now and just come out of a shallow bath. Feel great just a bit tight because of the strapping. Can’t wait to see them next weds when the strapping comes off. I have attached before and after photos.

Really annoying my photo after won’t upload ?

Reading this you’ve put me at ease! ..sounds like your procedure was smooth, hopefully mine is the same! How are you finding the pain as the time goes on? I also sleep on my front so I’m worried that will stop me getting any sleep! Can you tell me a bit more about removing the drains? ? ..I’m worried for that! Not for the pain I’m just not good with squeamish things ha! Are you happy with your results so far?x

@nikki I was so worried and nervous. The nurses are so lovely and put you at ease. Yes hopefully yours goes as smooth. Worse part was getting over the anistetic hate feeling so sick and lightheaded but after rest i was fine. Pains not that bad just feel a bit sore underneath but nothing unbearable just a bit of discomfort when I get up. The drains sound a lot worse. Just feels a slight tug sensation but it’s done in a second. Not sore you’ll be fine. Dosent hurt. I’m the same so squeemish but I held my friends hand and the thought of it is much much worse then it is. Really happy! What date is yours Hun? X

I had the same surgeon and had 400cc unders on Monday, strapped the same way as you too. What size did you start out? One of mine feels so much bigger than the other right now! Can’t wait to get the strapping off

Yes very friendly completely put me at ease so can recommd him enough at this stage. I was 32b hoping I’ll be DD/E but that may be abit ambitious. Yeah plus the bra on top urghhhh, the itching today is getting too me massively!

What size did he say he thinks your cc will get you size wise?

I’m hoping also a DD/E. I know I’m stating to itch a bit now. I still feel tired aswell. Hard to sleep at an angle.

He hasn’t really said. Has he to you?

I’m using my old V pillow from pregnancy, complete godsend with the sleeping upright! He said 375 that I was originally going to get would get me roughly a DD but on op day he said 400 would be better for filling my skin so went with that. I’ve got boob greed and would love an E but everyone’s results are so different aren’t they.

Hate the waiting game lol. Hope you don’t mind the add, would be good too follow someone with similar stats before and after ☺️

Oh perfect. I wish I got one of those v pillows I left it too late. Just feels weird sleeping upright. Me too I’m hoping for an E. So exciting to see the results.

I’m not in until August 10th and I know it’s ages away but I’m getting myself worried ha! Your results are fab! Bet you’re so pleased with them! ? ..I’ve never had anesthetic only wheb I was 7 and I got loads of teeth out! ? so hopefully I. Won’t be too bad off that.
Oh thank God for that, just sounds a bit cringy doesn’t it ‘drains out’ scared me! I was going to ask my friend to stay with me but it would be a long day for her, was it just the procedure itself they weren’t allowed to be there? I don’t want to do it alone but it’s a 90 minute drive so I don’t want her dropping me off, going home then coming back for me! I’m getting excited but it’s months away yet! @louise

I booked my date back in October and my date came around so quickly. August will fly by! I’m so happy with my results atm can’t wait to see them when they’re settled and not swollen. Right now they look massive lol. Yeah my friend drove me up from Bournemouth and stayed the whole time. She had to wait in the waiting room whilst I had surgery and whilst I was recovering but she went to the shops in this time and picked me up a few bits for when I came round and a beautiful bunch of flowers. She came back in when I was back in my room. Yeah sounds like it would be better if she waited for you. Well good luck you’ll be in good hands @nikki

Glad to read all went well Louise 🙂 happy healing! I’m hoping to book my BA for August so hoping time will fly for me too! So excited to find out what size I will be offered!
Look forward to seeing the progression of yours, I reckon I will be around the 450cc mark and I would like high profile too!
