My op was yesterday, just a couple of questions…

I had my op yesterday. When can I shower, anyone know? I’ve got a bath too which I’ll just be having a shallow bath in for abit but just wondered..

Also I’ve got a Macon breast strap and I have no idea how to use it please help?!

Think you’ve got to wait until strapping off and nurse gives you the go ahead for a shower, seems to be between 1-2 weeks from looking on here. Gross lol…. shallow baths for now!

No showers or getting anything up ther wet/splashed until the nurse gives you the say so (going to my first post op this after noon 10 days po as couldn’t get out of work to go 7dpo) will let you know what she says.

Breast band is normal to push down or encourage the implant to drop if you’ve had unders so wear it fairly tightly above you breasts will attach pic for you. (Over or under t shirt work if it rubs you) xx

It depends whether you had stitches or water proof glue. I had water proof glue so could shower in 48 hours. Im sure if you had they would of advised you, so as Laura said they will tell you at your post op if ok to shower. Good luck with your recovery 🙂

Well blow me! Water proof glue that’s awesome wish I could of had that…10 days with a flannel, half a bath and wet wipes…girls I’m minging!! lol the things we sacrifice for a good rack!! Xx

I’ve had partials and the nurse at Fitzroy said they are only for unders not partials so I don’t need it.
Is that right?
Already can’t wait to shower lol. X

Your nurse must know best but I do find the band helps and is very supportive too! X

@laura just been given the go ahead to shower. Told her I had no real pain anymore she took off my strapping and dressing and wiped away the dry blood popped some steri strips on my incisions that she said I could take off once I got home to shower and off I went! Xx

They Look awesome Laura! How are they feeling? What did you have done? Size before etc?

The still feel numb but so much more like my boobs now the strapping is off! I was a 32b but very empty at the top and wore very padded 32c bras. I had 350cc round moderate plus profile unders. Couldn’t be happier with them right now excited to see how they settle over the next few weeks.

Ah, let me know how they settle. I’ve been in quite a lot of pain today, I think it’s because they’re heavy you know. I’m at least sleeping great sat up so that’s a bonus. Managed to have a shallow bath fine and stuff today. Mine feel pretty much completely numb if I touch them, I’ve got serious boob greed though and wish I’d of gone bigger already, but I hope that will pass once I get my strapping off. Xx
