    Hey Girls,

Well after harrassing you all for information and support these last few weeks, I thought it only fair to upload my story as I found all of yours so useful and really helped me understand what to expect.

So my admission time was 07:30am at Highgate with Mr Singh and I was told I would be first on the list.
I left mine at 05:00am where i drove to my friends house to pick her up at 05:30 after messing about getting petrol and muchies for her, (and me for after) Off we headed on our (1 hr 50 min) to London at about 05:45 – With me driving.
Not sure if it was nerves or excitment but after the roads being so empty and clear, we made it within the hour -ish arriving at 07:00am.

We struggled to find Highgate when we got there having parked too far up the road, We ended up speakng to another (lovely girl) who was also trying to find it, And eventually we arrive about 07:30am, I walked in and was amazed at how posh and like a hotel it was, literally like checking in to a nice modern hotel.

As I was waiting in reception, Mr Singh walked by and made an effort to wave at me, Which made me feel at ease. (Bless him)
I was eventually showed to my room at 08:15am which i was a bit annoyed about and soon found out I had missed out on my first slot and would now be going in second .. (Although this was quite a relief in the end) –
The room was lovely, Very posh and perfect to chill in ready to be taken down. Although when I walked in i did get the whiff of hospitals that i couldnt get rid off and it was really making me feel sick and more nervous – The room was freeeeezing so we whacked the heating up to full blast and began sunbathing while waiting for the next moves.

In comes my lovely nurse who was a new agency starter that day, First day at highgate but all the same she was very helpful, funny and just a generally nice lasy to be around, The other nurse who kept flitting in was miserable as hell, Rude to the new nurse in front of me and my friend which I was horrified at (Walked in saying – So your another polish one then) to her???..
I couldn’t help myself but say, Manners wouldn’t go a miss! She was rude to me and my friend for the remainder of our time there, But I was totally over her before she even started! (Cant remember her name, Older lady with short white hair and glasses – had recognised her name from the site)

Anyway, Next in was the Lovely Mr Singh, Marked me up and he was on his way (hardly any ink which i was chuffed about)
Asked what size I was going to go for 445 0r 470, And he says – Just to let you know about me, Im the boobie man I will get the bigger ones in if i can – haha!
He was very funny and polite and even responded to a joke we had made at our consultation which I thought was really sweet as he clearly remembered our conversations.
Then said I would be in next at 09:30am – Off he went.
My nerves had gone at this point and just wanted it over with.

Next came the man I feared – The Anethetist, Told him all my fears which he in a nice way told me how irrational they all were haha and he promised he would look after me and would see me soon.

    10:30 – My Turn!
In comes a lovely young lad who checked through my paperwork and began the short walk down to the anethestic room with me.
I walked in saw the bed I would be lying on in the middle of the room and could see the doors to the surgery room right in front of me –
    This then freaked me out!

I just got myself on to the bed but then the tears started I was just thinking what am i doing, I’ve three beautiful babies at home – What if something happens!
The Anethetist nurse in there wasnt very comforting at all in fact ignored me crying and continued to rudely ask me the standard questions, Next in comes the Anesthetic guy I met and immediately he comes over comforting me and promoting the moody cow nurse to do the same,

Anyway I start to calm down a bit and just say whatever you do, Just warn me before you put that stuff in me!
He faffed with the canular and was trying to distract me, I said I promise you im not bothered at all about the needles, Just whack that in – Just warn me before you put me to sleep – He was laughing and said “Oh then my easy job is done” and inserted the canular
(Im really not bothered about needles etc and in he popped it, No pain at all short scratch 2 second job – So please dont worry those who are – and it was in my forearm as opposed to mt wrist which i didnt expect – but prob less painful all the same)

Anyway then he started talking to me again and said ‘Ah so you have three children then, How old are they?
Well that was it, Here came the tears again – he apologised and said im sorry ive made you think of your children again, Ok What do you like to drink …?”
Now he was talking would have done anything for a vodka at that stage!!

I said, Ummmm thought about it and said a nice Vodka, then I said – Well im feeling woozy now youve put that stuff in havent you-
He said, No, No thats just the Gin and Tonic, Then he said now heres the lemon …

    That was it OUT!

Wake up saying “Ow what the hell you done to my throat (as it was quite sore to swallow)
Open my eyes and was thinking where the hell am i, Just a few people lying around on beds – Clearly I was in recovery
Look at the clock it was 12:15pm! Shit that G&T knocked me out! (Honestly girls those who are worried about the GA – Pllllleeeeeeeeeeease dont, I know its easy for me to say now but that was my biggest fear of all and it was actually fiiiiiiiiiiiiine)

Next I reach into my blanket and have a feel of the bad boys – Nice!

A nurse comes over – Wouldnt remeber her face now if she came and slapped me in the street but I just asked her for a hug (And everyone else that walked passed – embarrassing)..
Wheeled back into my room – Had a big love of my friend and from then on in was good as gold.

I didnt have that heavy feeling i was reallllllly scared about just felt really sore, and bruised and the majority of my pain was in my back – I was so uncomfortable.
It was all manageable though (I never ever take painkillers though wanted to try ride it out)

Came out of the GA really well, Was just quite tired and felt relaxed and woozy which I liked – Knocked back a can of coke immediately had steak mash and veg which was nice and the nurse came in and bought me two tablets which she told me were muscle relaxants, Tried to give me codine – Which I was refused.
So gave me one of the orange Ibrobufen things, This took the edge of a little bit and I had this at 2pm.

5:00 Came and i really wanted to go, Wasnt looking forward to drive home (Which my friend was now going to take over from)
I was told thought tht Mr Singh has gone back into surgery so I would have to wait, I wasnt prepared to do this just wanted to get home to my family so i left my number and asked the nurse to promise Mr Singh would ring me
(So i left with not knowing how the actual op went, What size I even had it, Whether he eventually did do overs or did unders – But this was MY choice)

Off we went to the car, Was feeling fine – Pain still managable (had no more pain relief since 2pm) Left in my jamas and dressing gown.
Half way home i started getting pins and needles rushing through my legs all up my arms and through my face so I kept trying to move around in my seat as much as i could (friend thought Id gone mad)

Mr Singh, rang me which I bloody missed as my service had gone on the mortorway, But he left a message saying he would call back which within half an hour he did do – Bless him!

He said the op went like a dream, He said they looked fabulous and in total It took 35 minutes and I had 470 overs – Yay!
(I really must have been knocked out from my G&T then)
I explained about my pins and needles and he said this is all absolutely normal, Not to worry and have a great christmas – I love Mr Singh (I told him this 😉

Home I arrive to my babies and hubby – I hadnt told the kids what I had gone to do as didnt want them to worry,
Couldnt really hide it from them now though
So sat them all in the bedroom for the big reveal (In my strapping)
The children looked horrified and then started laughing saying big boobies! And my hubby said I looked well weird – So glad they were happy haha!

I sat down with the fam and we had a chippy tea, Then feeling tired at this point, Came to bed, took 2 paracetamol hubby asking every two mins if i needed anything, propped my pillows and drifted off to sleep with my daughter stroking my hair.
Slept like a baby, Woke up about 3am a bit stiff (No pain – Just shifted up the bed a bit and got comfortable, Hubby waking asking if I was ok)

Then I woke at 04:30am – Ive been up since then, Had two Ibrobufen (Not majorly sore just thought might ease the swelling) and have been chirstmas shopping online since … (Reserving things for hubs to collect in store)

Overall – Very pleased with the experience, Love my new boobs so far as much as I can see, Quite nervous about the big reveal next week as I have no idea what the full effect will be and Im going to start my antibiotics today.

Sorry if I’ve rambled on just wanted to give as much insight as i can, As this really helped me at the beginning –
And i also want to thank @Laura who has been an amazing chick, We kept in contact the days running up to our BA’s on Whatsap and all throughout our big days yesterday (Laura was in preston) and straight after the ops through to last night, Made a friend from the whole experience too 😉

Thank you all so much for your help xxxx

Congratulations 🙂 we must have had the same anesthetist, I was crying as well and he said he’d give me something to relax me first and asked what my favourite drink was…2 seconds later I was like you’ve tricked me and I was out hahaha so glad he did it like that because it made it so much easier, I was terrified at first! Happy healing 🙂 x

Congratulations! I was worried about the GA as well for the exact same reasons, I told him I needed to know I wouldnt die and I would be ok as I cant leave my babies with no mom and he said hes been doing it for 25 years and i’ll be fine.
He had trouble finding a vein (this happens to me all the time) so another lady gave me my GA she said sweet dreams and the next thing I remember was waking up in my room at 11pm lol I was very drowsy but I really liked Highgate hospital and was fortunate enough to have a nice nurse.
I was very worried about how it would go but honestly the most traumatic part of the whole experience was having to have my clip in extensions out and my fake nails off lol so glad I did it. Wishing everyone a speedy recovery xx

Ah katrise, He is great isnt he! Shame didnt get chance to pop in and see each other!
Ah @Kelly, Honestly I was so scared about the GA i would of cancelled it after that, You couldnt ask me what I was scared about because it was EVERYTHING!
From not waking up, to having an allergic reaction while under, to freaking out and attacking someone when I came round haha!

But honestly i really do understand it is so easy for me to say now, But I literally didnt even feel that spinny, just a teeny teeny bit enough to be able to talk and think fine and then nothing ….Woke up in recovery.
I came out of the GA pretty quickly and put my hair straight up as i came out, went to the toilet and had some dinner, Then I was up tidying my room
(Think i definately over did it though because im in agony today)

I felt a bit tired for the rest of the day but more that nice warm chilled feeling xxxx
