My pc was so nice never pushed me in any way . I actually think if she hadn’t been my pc I would have loved to have her as a friend , she is so kind and caring and realy helped me , she’s called no stop every step of the way emails, and text before the day off and after my op , the staff at Fenchurch street are realy nice , heard one pc bitch about my pc in reception once , if if of heard it out on the street probly would of decked her , jelouse cow . Lol ,
When ever iv had a worry or question they get back to me real quick and are so supportive . If your not happy with your pcs behaver then complain because she obviously letting the company down .

Sorry to hear that,…. my aftercare was great had my PC call me a couple of days after my op ~ she stated she wanted me to get a good rest before she called me. Also when my splint was taken off, the nurse enquired if I had any problems etc of which I didn’t. Made the 6 week appointment there and then. I have a few questions for my surgeon when I see him in May but its not urgent…. if it is then I would phone my PC or the clinic.. I would give MYA a call if you have any grievancies Im sure they would make an appointment with a nurse if not the surgeon. Hope you work it out 🙂 x

Stacey you summed it up all there x

I had a more positive experience. I had Leah at Leeds, I didn’t feel she was pushy, she always got back to me via text to arrange anything and she actally helped me get an earlier surgery which worked out really well for me. She said to contact her if I had any questions but didn’t really need too. I feel she fulfilled her role.

I wouldnt say Ive had a negative experience, I had a complication which they were straight onto and got me back in and sorted straightaway, so very positive in that sense. But I totally understand the communication issues, alot of people who go for surgery dont have the support of close ones that they need and the PC role I guess is there to help aide that, I didnt need it but I can see how the inconsistency of PCs fulfilling their roles impacts the support patients get and the varied feedback. MYA should definately look into that role more and how it effects patients xx
