11 days post BA op. healing well but finding trying to sleep on my back impossible. Getting terrible back ache. Anyone know when you can start sleeping on your side. Have read various blogs which vary from 2 days to 3 weeks. Would love to hear your experiences and advise. Have tried to phone my nurse they have not come back to me as yet. thanks

My surgeon said after my op that I didn’t need to sleep upright and that I could either sleep on my back or side. I am 10 days post op and I’ve slept on my side and been fine. x

I read you can sleep on your side or upright but I can’t get comfy on my side. Have you tried a warm hot water bottle, it helps me a bit with my back. xxx

Thanks I have a been using a bean bag which i put in the microwave and that helps a little but not enough to allow me to sleep. I will try a hotwter bottle tonight.. Does it make a difference as to what you had, I had overs naturelle responsive 310. The surgery was revision as the previous BA was unders which became CC so had to have them replaced

ooh, I’m not sure, I read unders took longer to heal, but everyones different not sure about revision. I’ve just had unders and a mastopexy and read you’ll feel better in about 2 weeks initially… Hope the nurse gets back to you with some advice xxxx

You can sleep on your back and side from whenever feels comfortable, I slept the first night propped up not moving, second propped up on my side, and third laid normally on my side, and from a week and found myself on my front with no pain. Mine was revision surgery the time with overs not unders to xx
