anyone not bothered with a v pillow/back rest etc? Would it be ok to just use a lot of quilts and pillows etc to help sleep upright ?? Kind of want to just get the bare minimum for post op won’t be used long after ? X

Hey hayley, I got a v pillow from argos for about £7 and didn’t bother with a backrest. First few days of sleeping wasn’t great but I’ve found it a lot better sleeping on the sofa as my bum doesn’t go numb and the high back on it props me up right anyways! I sort of sleep at an angle with my back in the corner of it if that makes sense? But I’m so glad I bought my v pillow 🙂 xx

I just used the cushions from the back of the sofa… I can’t lie, I was very uncomfortable but I think that was just due to the fact I was sat upright rather than the pillows. I would say using whatever you have as long as you are upright is ok

I think although budget as you can pick them up for very cheap maybe worth getting as if your in a lot of pain and finding it hard to sleep it will make all the difference. Im having mine next week but have got a V pillow and im using it now its so lovely, you could use with just pillows. Ive also ordered a cheap back wedge from amazon though as i think will help with getting in and out of bed. Maybe after you could then sell them. Im sure you would be fine without though too.. but compared to cost of opp such a little lay out for bigger comfort x
