    Hi ladies!

Sorry to say there are no pictures at the mo because I’m all strapped up but I know how helpful it was to read about other people’s day in hospital so thought I’d write a bit about my experience.

First of all to say that each and every nurse I saw was fabulous, so helpful, friendly and efficient and made sure I had everything I needed.

I was pretty calm about the whole thing which is unlike me I’m usually a notorious worrier! I was admitted at 7.30 and by 9 I had seen everyone I needed to and I was second on the list so just had to wait for number one to go through. They came and fetched me at 9.40ish and I was under by 10. No pain with the cannula the anaesthetist was brilliant (as they always are in my experience) he asked me my favourite alcoholic drink and said I should pretend I’ve just had 3/4 in quick succession. Then I was chatting away to the nurse about my job feeling a bit whacky and next thing I knew I was awake again!

I have to say I felt fabulous all afternoon! No pain, no sickness nothing. I kept falling asleep for 20-30 minutes at a time then waking up having a snack or a drink and then dozing off again. By 3.30 they said I could go home but I was waiting for some visitors and traffic to die down so they said I could hang around.

Drains were painless and everything was great. Marcellino came in to see me and check all was okay and he said he was pleased with the op and told me he had chosen 350cc (I gave him the option between 325 and 350 as I wanted a natural not too big look) he said the 325 wasn’t quite enough so he went for the higher cc. I’m so swollen and coney and strapped up and under my chin at the moment I couldn’t really tell you what they’re like at all but I should get my strapping off on Monday and get a better look!

around 6pm I think my meds wore off and I nearly passed out and felt really sick a couple of times but the nurses covered me in cold towels got me an anti sickness and a fan and moved me into a cold room straight away and I soon felt better.

I’ve taken two lots of paracetamol today and my antibiotics but haven’t needed my codeine or anything stronger. My last dose wore off an hour ago and I feel fine at the moment. Pretty bruised and not got enough strength to push or pull anything but it’s mainly my ribs not my boobs! Hoping I continue to be this lucky with the pain but I’m betting it’s still the op drugs keeping me well and it will wear off and hit me like a tonne of bricks in the next couple of days! Fingers crossed!

Happy to answer any questions. I had 350cc overs from 34b with Marcellino and I think I’m happy! Try and get some pictures next week minus strapping!

Amazing! I was at Fitzroy yesterday with Mr Marcellino. You must have been just before me then. The anaesthetist was lovely. We was talking about my favourite drink and I went all gigglely.
Pain wise – I was in pain on my left side only. The drive home back to Cheltenham was quite emotional and had a little weep. ?
Today, I’m okay if I don’t move!!! I really cannot wait to get this strapping off. It feels so sweaty. ?
Managed to get a shallow bath this morning and that made me feel a little better.

What time are you at Bristol on Monday?

    Xx

Yeah I’m getting a bit stiff if I stay still too long! Tried to keep pottering round today and been to the supermarket but I’m pretty tired! It’s my strapping that’s making me uncomfortable because I’ve tried taking my bra off and it’s no relief! It’s so tight!!! Counting down til monday. I’m in Fitzroy at 12.30! X

glad your days both went really well! the band is excruciating isn’t it?? i feel like i can actually breathe if i take it off for a minute but i can see how much it’s helping my boobs drop already ? i tried walking round tesco but i was so defensive of people walking near me xx

Aww I had overs so didn’t have to have the band thankfully but I think the strapping is just as bad and you can’t take it off for respite! I’ve been counting down to the op for so long now and now it’s finally done I’m counting down to Monday. I have to say my nipples look absolutely tragic at the moment they are so swollen!!! X
