Op cancelled for tomorrow! Gutted! Anyone else!

Just had a call now to tell me my op has been cancelled because of the anaesthetist cancelling so all 10 girls on his list have been cancelled I’ve travelled to London from Somerset, paid for two nights in a hotel plus travel expenses! Anyone else on here???

Claire that’s awful! Talk about leaving it til the last minute too. Have they told you when they can get you back in? Hope it’s not too far away and hopefully can help you out with some of the money you’ve already forked out x

Thursday hopefully apparently there’s 10 of us that they’ve cancelled and they were aware of it last night, not impressed at all I’ve taken two weeks off work and everything

This happened to me at the end of August but in Preston so I know how upsetting and annoying it is. They managed to get me in the next day and they were really apologetic and lovely. Maybe talk to your PC and see if they can help in anyway? Hope you’re ok x

My surgeon only works Monday’s and Thursday’s so Thursday is the quickest they can get me in, I’m hoping they will be really good about it when they phone shortly if not I will speak to my PC and try and get some sort of refund and discount for the hassle

That must be absolutely the worst pre op news! you prepare yourself mentally and physically for the operation, I do feel for you. My nightmare is time off work. Thursday will be here very soon.

Yeah it’s more the financial side as obviously it costs so much anyway so I’ve had to pay one lot of hotel bills already and now I need to stay til Thursday as I live 4 hours away from London ????

Yeah all booked in for Thursday so fingers crossed it goes ahead, I’ve had to pay out for another hotel and fuel and yet to receive any reimbursement :/
