Open wounds/bleeding at 4 weeks post op :(

I feel like crap. Seriouly. i want to cry every time i think about them. The healing in general is amazing and the scars are so think but under one of my boobs i have a 10p sized open wound leaking puss and blood constantly!! It started out quite small and the nurse said it was nothing to worry about but its growing. I went to my local hospital and got antibiotics but 2 days later its eve worse and bleeding now too. Seriously. It looks awesome, like a big hole. I’m going to see the nurse at mya tomorrow because the out of hours nurse sounded worried but i honestly dont know what they could do? It just doesnt seem to be healing!!! 🙁

Oh babe I hope its sorted for u today. I had a small hole. Only an ant size maybe but still worrying. Healed on its own fine. Keep us updated beaut. Got my fingers crossed for you x

Well i noticed small holes in week 3. But tiny and i wasnt worried at all. Not at week 4 ones huge and one the other boob i have 3 small holes going up the insision under my nipple. I am so sore its unreal. At least im not in pain i guess. I’ll keep you updated! My appointments at 12! x

Just got back from my appointment. It took the nurse a while to clean the wounds up 🙁 She said it definitely didn’t look normal and took some swabs to send away to see what bacteria it was so i could get on the right antibiotics. I have so much dressing on right now. So itchy!! Also, i had this antiseptic spray that feels like the devil lol I’ve come away from mya with a huge ‘goodie’ bag full of dressings. Even though im not supposed to change them myself if i can help it. I have to go back to the clinic every few days now to get checked on. I cant see my surgeon Dr Singh until May 16th though because he’s apparently away till then 🙁 Pictures have been emailed to him though.

I’m not trying to put anyone off though. Apart from underneith looking aweful/reacting badly the actual implants and rest of the insisions from the uplift look amazing and are healing so well! The aftercare is really good and i do feel looked after 🙂 So im just going to put it to the back of my mind now my boobs are re-covered until they get changed again next tuesday!

Hope you get on right antibiotics soon and get it sorted. I notoced small hole 6 days ago kept ot covered and still bled so i took steri strips and let it get sum air and seems fine now.

Hope your feeling better, im surprised they havent asked you to visit your practice nurse to have your dressing changed saving you going all the way back to the clinic.
Bless you sometimes these things happen with wounds and they break down dont worry to much it will heal over time once they sort out the infection xx

Changed my dressings myself today because they’re closed until Tuesday. The one boob that wasnt too bad now has a full blown infection as bad as the other. Thats while on anti-biotics. I’m seriously worried!!!

Ring out of hours nurse, this has been going on long enough.
