Hey girls, I’m in so much pain! Got my op at jut after 6pm Monday so it hasn’t even been 48 hours just yet, but the meds they have given me just aren’t easing any pain at all? I’m in so much pain! All my top half of my body is all tenses up and stiff! The pain just keeps getting worse! Does any one recommend anything to help with the pain? Thanks girls! Hope everyone else is doing okay!!

Ice was my best friend friend for three days straight. Constantly. It relieved so much more pain than the painkillers did. I used my ice pack three times yesterday and haven’t used it at all today I am 5DPO and just feel achy, I take a couple of paracetamol here and there but in the first two days I was also in a lot of pain especially on movement. Boots do a good hot/cold pack, think I got mine for about £6, get two so you can have one in the freezer and use one, they only take an hour and a half to freeze! Hope this helps xx

I just saw that you wasn’t given the stronger painkillers too, getting some codeine may be a good idea or anything with a mix of codeine and paracetamol in. But if you can avoid taking these I really would as they leave you so bloated and constipated that I found that worse than the pain I was in from my boobs but they did help me to sleep at night. My mum has been giving me a sleeping tablet instead, I tried a night without it last night and it was awful.
Once the antibiotics are finished you don’t need anymore, it’s just a normal weeks course and they’re just for precaution xx

@Heather they said they had to watch what they gave me as on my record they was given it said I was allergic to penicillin, I didn’t even know this neither did my mum so they don’t know if it was a mistake on Mya’s behalf cause I did not tell them I was allergic to it or if it had come from my doctor but surely my mum would of known if I was? however, they had to give me meds without that in just to be safe! xx

Oh, penicillin is an antibiotic not a painkiller so that’s really strange. I would just advise you to use ice packs and then speak to your nurse when you see her 7DPO! I can’t wait! The itching is driving me crazy as is not being able to see them haha xx
