Hey, I had my BA yesterday afternoon, but I still have some numbness, more so in my left breast. The nurse said this should go after a good nights sleep, but they are still pretty numb. Is this normal…the numbness and pain is also more so in my left side. The pain is underneath but the numbness is all over (top and over nipple) . help please 🙂

Numbness is very normal, I’m 9weeks po and still have one numb nipple (feeling is starting to come back) and still slightly numb under my boobs, pain and numbness will be different in each boob and recovery can be slower in one more than the other, treat them as different operations as they will heal completely different, happy healing xx

I had my op yesterday Hun and my left one is numb from the bottle and my nipple… I was abit worried last night but spoke to a friend and she said she had the exact same too. It feels like when I have been the dentist and had that horrible numbing needle.
Congrats on the boobs btw!!! Do you love them?? Xx

Yeah that’s exactly how it feels…like I’ve been at the dentist, reassuring I’m not the only one. Yeah I absolutely love them, couldn’t be happier.

How’s your recovery been Teresa? Am I able to sleep on my back tonight instead of sitting up? Wasn’t sure if I had to sleep sitting up for a while, or if it was personal preference. Also when can I brush and tie my hair up etc…when is it safe to start lifting my arms, I don’t want to do any damage but there’s only so many times I can let my boyfriend tie my hair up, lol. xx

Hi Alana, I think u should be sleeping up for first couple of weeks, or at least I was advised that… And for lifting your arms, I saw nurse yesterday for my 7day post op check and she said I can do everything, if not in pain. just not lifting heavy things… hope that is helpful for u xxx

Thanks lucia, sitting up to sleep is already driving me crazy and its only been one night 🙁 x

My op was only yesterday…patience isn’t my strong point, lol. I had Mr Singh, really happy with the results. Recovery seems to be going well, just slightly paranoid as I have strapping on so cant see my incision sites, so not sure if their bleeding etc…got my appt with the nurse on Tuesday. Be glad when I know everything’s ok…and to feel normal again, feel spaced out be tired and can barely walk…I look a right treat, lol. x

Hi Alana, my recovery has been great thanks love my new boobs, I slept sitting up for about 3 weeks but only because I couldn’t get comfy on my side or back till then, my nurse told me my arms couldn’t go above my head for 6 weeks, shoulder height but no higher but different surgeons have diffefent ways so check with your nurse and do what she suggests, found day 4 and 5 the worst but then everyday I felt better.time will fly then you’ll be out buying all those beautiful new bras xx
