Hello, Im 4 days post op and Im wondering when the pain subsides?
I struggled alot with the pain straight after the surgery but I think thats because I was only an A cup before and so I’ve had a lot of stretching etc…
The main pain im suffering is getting up and down from being laid/sat and im the morning I can hardly move, even though I am sleeping propped up.
I am wearing the Macom bra recommended by the surgeon but Im finding it very uncomfortable, i feel like its just squashing me. I have taken the bra off a couple of times and it is such a relief, and nearly pain free. Does the bra have to be worn 24/7??
    Any advice/opinions will be great.

    Hi Verity

Sorry you’re suffering. I also had unders and found I had morning stiffness consistently for about two weeks, but it did ease off during that time. I didn’t sleep on my back before so it’s taken a long time and pillows to get used to it. Did you get muscle relaxers as they help for the mornings also.
Hot of cold flannels on the boobs should help as does a hot water bottle.
Perhaps you can try a different brand of bra to see if you can alternate between them?

Every person is different post surgery.. if you’re worried about any pain you should give the clinic a call! In comparison I’m POD4 too & I’ve felt hardly any pain at all just backache more so from the strapping & sleeping upright.. keep on top of your painkillers but definitely give them a ring if you’re unsure.. that’s what they’re there for! 🙂

I watched a vid on youtube that said every two hours get up and walk around and showed these gentle exercises to combat getting stiff n help boobs drop. I know everyone has different guidances and pains. but im intending to try this ill try anything that helps – thats the plan anyway my op is next week – hope u feel better soon x

    Thanks everyone.
I was just given paracetamol and ibuprofen to bring home because codeine makes me sick. I was given tremadol in the hospital but wasnt given any to bring home.
Im trying to stay fairly active and im managing to do most things but the pain is still quite bad. Il trying using hot/cold flannels.
Im also not used to sleeping on my back so that isnt helping.
Im back at the clinic seeing the nurse on monday so il speak to her then, i think my main problem is the bras so il see if theres an alternative i can try. Does anyone know why the bra has to be so tight??
