Painkillers

Hey girls, I am due to have my op in 11 days ???… Is anyone allergic to Cocodemol and ibropfrofen?! I heard they use both, they know I’m allergic but I am just wondering what other pain killers they would give me instead! Any ideas?! Xx

@lrich ye they do use cocodemol and thats what you take home they run through everything with you once your their if not just say to them as soon as they do your assessment again xx

I’m allergic to cocodamol and have been told I’ll be given paracetamol only. (8 days and counting) x

Lucy, I think it depends on which surgeon you have. I had Mr Traynor and he doesn’t like giving out co-codomol, he just advises and prescribes paracetamol and ibuprofen 🙂

I just had paracetamol but I’ve had no pain to be honest. 6 days PO and I’ve only took them 4 times since my surgery just in case it helped and made no difference. I just experienced tightness. I don’t take tablets at all anyway if I can avoid it and have a high pain threshold so paracetamol do more than enough for me 🙂 good luck xx

@nwhite @mrsingi @lyndseyp27 @abilouisexo yeah I am going with Transform Dr Meleagros – I mentioned this to him and he said just paracetamol, it is just mad to think that just paracetamol will help the pain! It’s mad to think some people don’t have any pain at all! It’s come around so quick, only 5 more working days and 8 more days until my op! Ahhhhhh ??? xx

@Lucy I was at riverside in london I think it’s tye same one who is ur surgeon …I’m 5 days post op feeling a lot better today arms r still restricted having my strapping off this Friday can’t wait ..what r u having? I was a 30aa and had 255cc overs ultra high profile currently look like a d but still swollen xxx u will be fine just keep on top of the pain killers all the best hun! The staff are very helpful and kind u will have a excellent aftercare xxxx
