Hi, did you find out about the muscle distorting the implant when working out? I really want to know about this too, I have heard it can push the implant out of position but Im not sure if that actually happens x

Did u have partials or completely under?

I had partials and now have overs. When you hear people refer to unders they will usualy mean part under, full unders aren’t really done at all anymore! I hated everything about partials, they were uncomfy, painful and looked awful. I LOVE my overs, they look 10000% better, I can’t feel them at all and they don’t interfere my muscles at all. In anatomical terms your breast isn’t supposed to be behind your muscle, it’s unnatural and foreign to the body.

Umm, I guess it just depends if you have the tissue coverage for overs, I currently have overs and don’t like them as I can feel them…so many pro and cons to both placements 🙁

That’s exactly it Tracy, each person varies. I have zero breast tissue as I had a mastectomy and I got away with no ripples so I’m very lucky, just varies person to person. There are issues with both placements it’s just weighing up what matters more to you. I thought I may get ripples but it was a trade off worth while imo, I couldn’t deal with the feeling of unders at all but some ladies do well with them. x

That’s great the overs are working for you , did you have any weird dents as you were healing? Just out of interest could they have released the muscle more to stop the movement? I never know if it’s the way the surgery is done or based on the individual x

I didn’t have the dents Tracy, I think I lucked out really. I hear those dents can smooth out as you heal or your Dr may be able to offer you a fat transfer to give you a bit more tissue coverage. Nope, it wouldn’t have made any difference, I personaly would advise not messing with your muscle if you can avoid it. Most people do get some small form of flex distortion, not always visable but you can feel it. This is why it’s rare for body builders and gym bunnies to get unders, they cut the muscle so the implant can fit under, it’s causing a trauma/injury to the muscle and it stops you being able to do certain things. My distortion was fairly bad so I had very little strength in my chest making it hard to move my arms or raise them high, I found lifting anything, sweeping/hoovering to be a challenge. My body just would not accommodate for something being where it shouldn’t be.
