Hi girls, I haven’t wrote on here before. I had 425cc hp unders 16 days ago. My partner is self employed and was wanting to go back to work next week. I was just wondering how you all cope with young children after the op? Do you think I will be ok to lift my 10 month old at 3 wpo? X

Hi, I’m gonna follow this – booked for a BA 375 under end of July with one child going to Dad’s for 4 days and other booked into football camp for those days! How will I cope alone?!

I haven’t really had much pain since about day 4, more tenderness than anything but I haven’t lifted my daughter up yet just because I don’t think I could x

I’m in the same boat, I’m 3 weeks p.o. and I have a 10 month old, my husband has just gone back to work so I’m having to do more now but I have felt fine lifting him I’m just limiting how much I lift him, and trying to do more on the floor with him, I didn’t have any pain past day 2 but spent 2 weeks doing nothing to give myself time to heal as much as possible, make sure things like the buggy is already set up to save you trying to lift this.
I have been putting him on my lap before standing which takes some of the weight and try to keep elbows as close to body as you can and use lower arms. Just try to make sure little one doesn’t bang into the new boobies 🙂

I’m worried about this too ladies…I have a 3 year old and an 8 month old! My hubby is off for two weeks but after that I have no idea how I’ll not lift my youngest and I’m having partials. I’m not with mya but my info said to convalesce for 10-14 days after op and to have help with children for that period. So hoping after 2 weeks I’ll be ok but actually….how will I even get him out of the cot in the morning if I can’t lift 🙁

I have a 1 year old whose small for her age & a 2 year old whose also small, I was lifting them within the first week. Possibly day 4/5, just make sure you kneel down beside and pop them on your hip before trying to lift directly up. I’ve been fine & had no problems. My op was on a Tuesday & my other half went back to work the following Monday so I had to go back to normal pretty quick xx
