I have my surgeon consultation & pre – op Monday as I wanted my op early Feb…
On the questionnaire I filled out for my PC consultation it asked if I had chest pain.. I mentioned to the lady on reception that I do, but I dnt take medication for it & she said I didn’t need to put it down.. but now i’m worried that if I don’t mention it & becomes a problem something can go wrong :/ do you think I should mention it?

    xx

The best person to mention it to would probably be the nurse at the pre op. My nurse helped me sooo much! She said its them that checks thou rally through everything and makes sure it’s all okay to go ahead. She said Patient co ordinaters just want to put the patient through for surgery and don’t look into the risks like the nurses do xx

Make sure you mention it because I was suppose to have my operation yesterday got to the hospital waiting 5 hours to be told I can’t have it done by the anethetist because he won’t touch me ! Was upset and fuming , so hope it doesn’t happen to you double double check with your nurse xxx
