Sorry to hear this hun. Make sure you go to the nurse as soon as you can as it may have an infection that needs sorting out sooner rather than later. Let us know how u get on please and good luck xx

hey ladies thanks for your replies, i saw the nurse who was lovely about it, she had said it didnt look ininfected, which was reassuuring ive been given antibiotics as a just in case measure she took a swab but there wasnt much for her to swab she said so there wasnt much goo I presume lol, the nurse put steri strips and a big dressing over the top oh and before she did that she put an iodine spray, she took photos and asked me to return on Thursday to check on it , really pleased with the fast response, and I think this happened from showeri ng too often I softened the scab by the looks of it and it came away so be careful ladies im 2 weeks post op and didnt know th is would happen xxx

Thanks for updating us and so glad all is good and you saw the nurse!! How quick were you allowed to shower? And when you say showering too often, what’s too often? Seeing your picture scared me a little. So glad you are sorted 😀 xx

Aw em im so glad you were seen to and looked at, it seems like that too, i did actually wonder about showering because they dont tell you to not over shower but i spend forever in there washing my hair so it would constantly be getting wet the scars, i am almost 2 weeks but havent been able to have a shower as my incisions were vulnerable last week, im nervous that i will need to keep bandages on further and will have to keeo traveling to manchester, from staffordshire im a bit poor at the min so crossing everything thats it until my 3 month post op.

did you have any pain with your incisions going like that hun? xxx

So glad ive helped a few women on here, ive noticed its rare we have the bad things pop up on here, but i was waiting for something to go wrong as everything had been smooth running from the beginning, but by over showering i mean by showering everyday when really i should of showered every 2, and i had left my scabs very soft and the rubbing of the bra has slowly worn away my scab :(…i was allowed to shower from 7 days post op when the strapping came off, my left scar was pretty much healed at day 7 but my right was red and sore and angry looking but it had lessened over the week after this, And No pain at all everything feels just the same as it has been a lil uncomfortable and sore but nothing out the ordinary im just hoping by thursday theres some progression as i dont want it to be persistant but i would definatly advise anyone to shower as little as possible in the first 2 weeks as horrible as it is xxx
