So today I’ve overcome some obstacles, I used the toilet if you know what I mean, for the first time since my op. (Which is horrendous for me as I usually go 1-2 times a day), I managed to shave my pits, I saw some reaction in my right nipple (left already reacting) and I tied my hair in a messy, but none the less, pony tail! I feel like I’ve achieved loads.

Only down sides, so far, numbness in my arms when I’ve over done it, pain where my intestine is (but I suffer with IBS so expected this with backing up), my right boob is more swollen than the other and looks fuller on top but not worrying, I’m being patient. Overall so far a positive experience.

Literally NO pain, just tightness, only had 3 lots of pain killers since Friday just before bed. Haven’t had anything for 24 hours though. My appetite didn’t pick up luckily but probably because I’m not exercising as usual. A little bit of a bloated belly but nothing too severe. Hope everyone is healing well.

    So far so good ☺️

Wow! Seems like it’s going to be so difficult when reading everyone’s stories! Seems like your getting more independent so congrats! I’m booked to get my op 29th Feb, so still a long wait. Just reading everyone’s stories and panicking a bit! Are you in lots of pain? And will I need someone to assist me for the first few days? Your boobs look amaze btw! X

Yea that’s how I’d describe it Abbie. What size did you have?xx

Lucy honestly, I’ve had no pain whatsoever. Just tightness in my chest and itchy insicions. I’ve only took my pain killers 3 times since Friday and just in case I woke up stiff in the night but I didn’t. I was completely flat so I imagine my chest would be tighter than most too. You’ve nothing to worry about.
Yes I would say stay with someone, but I was able to walk around, use the toilet, eat, drink, admittidely slower than usual, but you do need someone to cook for you, open your bottles of water, potentially wipe your bum if you poo ? but like I said I’ve only been today so I was ok.
Honestly don’t worry, look at lots of jnstagram profiles of BA accounts, they really put my mind at ease xx

Awww Thanks for posting…. The positive day 4…. I am Pre-op day 1 and just itchy and feel pressure and generally uncomfortable ….. Then trying to calm down and have a look on here and compared to when i was waiting for surgery and all the forum titles were along the lines of ‘yay – all done’ etc…..
All i can see is ‘after care horrors’ complaints and capsular contracture ! Eeek……
Hope i have a smooth recovery ! Its only day 1 ! I need to chill the hell out ! Your post helped ! Thanks xxx

No worries. There’s little things I could over think on but you just have to relax. I’m more worried about my work load on Monday ?
What size did you have? Xx

What a fab post! I’m 6 days post op and am feeling well just like you πŸ™‚ I went back to work today too and it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I expected.

Overall a good experience, no pain ( except for bending down and reaching forward… My fault! And have learnt from it too ) other than nothing at all to worry about.

Hope you continue to have a good experience and enjoy your new twins ??? xx

@nicola I had 480cc unders! I’m only day 2 PO but the pain is quite bad! The nurse rang me last night and told me stop taking the co codamol as it was making me violently sick therefore the painkillers weren’t working so I’m just taking paracetamol and ibuprofen! My stomach is huge and rock hard so that’s a good idea about the lactoluse! ?? Just hoping this pain eases…I’ve got a breast band on and it is putting a lot of pressure on my implants so going to try the ice pack thing today ? Xx

I would imagine the bigger the implant the more pain you’d experience. Good effort on the 480s. I’ve got 350hp under the muscle.

Not going to lie, we went out for dinner last night which is my first time out the house since Friday, I was excited as I’m getting cabin fever but it was so cold I started violently shivering and that meant my chest was cramping, something you’d never be concerned about before but obviously I’m only 6 days PO, oh it was painful. So my advice, don’t leave the house unless you’re wrapped up.

Also today I’m getting small shooting sensations behind my nipple, not sure if that means I’m getting feeling back. My right nipple is now fully reactive thank god but I still can’t feel them. Not painful just like little sharp twinges.

Hope the pain eases for you Hun. Have you got pillows under your arms to support. That was another struggle last night, my chair at dinner had no arms and trying to hold them up for 2 hours was uncomfortable xx

    Eeek! I feel your pain!
I’ve got a V pillow which is a god send! Honestly the best thing I’ve bought! Really takes the pressure off!
I know it will get easier as the days goes on…! Just frustrating first thing in a morning when I’m stiff and the pain today is on the top of my implants xxx

    Hey Nicola!!
    They’re looking good!
I had the boob cramps yesterday because of the cold, it felt awful like my skin was griping the implants.
When I wake up I get horrible pain when I first sit up to get out of bed.
    Do you have this?
The rest I just an ache xx

    Hey chicken.

No not really. The strapping is starting to feel restricting now but it’s coming off tomorrow πŸ™‚

I’ve had a few sharp shooting feelings in my boob today but assume that’s the feeling coming back. Not enough to warrant pain killers though.

When are you getting your strapping off? Xx
