Well day one after surgery, boobs have felt heavy today with tenderness at the sides, nipples are starting to sting a bit and slight burning sensation. They do look a little wonky on photos, but the surgeon said one side of my rib cage is higher so even with different size implants may not have made them even, he did consider but in the end put same size in each…xx

    Hi Joanna,
They look really nice, how are you feeling?
I had my consultation yesterday he said either 275cc or 250cc. He could do either but my right side sticks out which leaves me with little tissue/fat near the chest in the middle so he said the 275 might protude a little more on my right but I said I don’t mind I don’t think many people would notice so I did ask for 275 but they are ordering both just incase he thinks the 275 shows up really bad where I don’t have much tissue on my right breast, but hopefully it won’t and it’ll be fine!
I just don’t want them to be small but I am really only tiny x

I think 275cc is more than enough – these are big for me, I don’t want to be no bigger than C cup I suspect I may be C or bigger. It depends what size you want to be and what you have to start with, I was 34 a, and just wanted to fill a nice bra, I hated going into any nice underwear shop. I’m not feeling too bad but I’m really tired, struggling to sleep upright and been awake since 4 am this morning xx

They look really good. Please keep us updated on how they heal/progress. I’m interested as I’m having overs in July! Same as you…..hate underwear shopping. I’m going on holiday in June, few weeks before my op. The thought of buying bikinis is making me shudder lol. Xx

Hello girls just wondering basically how long you are waiting to go back to work, at the moment it’s looking like I can only get 9 days off including my op day I’m a beautician do you think that will be enough xxx

Hey Chloe I will be going back after 8 days off work, I work in an office so hopefully shouldn’t be too bad although the pre op nurse said two weeks, guidance suggests 1-2 weeks. How much arm movement and standing on your feet so you require to need that could have an impact.

Hey hannah the sleeping is awkward isn’t it, I am managing tho although my butt is very numb on waking, I’m not suffering back ache which I do suffer from sleeping normally – strange lol!! Yesterday I felt like crap and could have cried – feelings of regret mostly due to discomfort, I can’t wait to be a week post op the recovery is quite a struggle I think xx

Is it minor arm movement?? I don’t know how you will feel some people are able to drive after a week, I intend on doing so. I’m not struggling to move my arms that much but it’s tender to stretch up, I have been able to get dressed and have been putting my clothes on by myself, and I have been doing stuff like load the dishwasher carefully tho…everyone is different xx

Hi Joanna, i commented on your old post hadn’t realised this was you lol, wow that must have been wierd waking up to find out your procedure plan had changed! Recovery from overs is much better so thats a huge plus for you! I also had Mr Mounir and like you i have a chest wall difference, i also had quite a difference in size so on the day of my op he said if he needed to he would put a 350 and a 375 in but i had 375cc in each, ones still a bit bigger than the other but funnily enough it’s the one that was smallest that’s now bigger so maybe it was placed differently im not sure but i have complete faith in him so what will be will be, how are you feeling today? They look absolutely perfect!! Are you over the moon with them? xxx

Claudine, yes was a bit of shock to find he had actually gone over, but felt no need to use different sizes – thank you for saying they look perfect I am very pleased so far…I am trying to not to worry and take it easy as poss! I am looking forward to see What they look like on Monday as that will be week 1 over – I’ve been a bit emotional but that’s normal right?!

Chloe – I would just be extra careful, I am going to have to be too…I don’t usually need to carry heavy items but I do rush around usually so I will need to take less trips to the printer and silly stuff like that which I would usually take for granted…xx

Hi Joanna i am now 18 days post op! Im still not recovered, didn’t expect to be but i did think the pain phase would have passed allot quicker, i think it’s frustrating because you have a day where you feel tons better and think it’s the start of the “worst is over” but then go backwards the next day, i do think i have factors in home life and my own general health that have impacted the speed of my recovery but in truth the operation is probably more invasive than we realise but at least it’s an operation of choice!! And we reap great rewards at the end, and yes Joanna i have been very emotional too!! I wasn’t expecting that either, ive actualy gone to my bedroom a few times in the past 2 weeks and just cried, just for a few mins, it’s a rollercoaster of feelings, i think it was day 12 i got a bit upset because it suddenly hit me i might miss my old boobs, they were my boobs! These are made in a factory there still not really mine, the next day i was laughing my head off with my friend when i told her, i mean Jeez like im gonna miss them wonky cockeyed fried eggs!!! Ha ha just goes to show you overthink and analyse everything when your feeling a bit low, i dont care where they were made they are deffo mine!
How are you today? Are you very sore? I really hope your recovery is a quick one Joanna xxx

Hi Claudine, it’s great to hear that you have been up and down too, I mean the feeling is far from great but at least I know I’m normal. I think it is important to speak out and say exactly how we’ve felt. I certainly wasn’t expecting to feel upset about it all and yes like you say miss my old boobs, even though most of the time they disgusted me! I feel I am getting a lot better, been stuck in the house didn’t help either!! The pain and discomfort is far worse than I imagined and I’m not sure I would do it again so I’m really hoping there is no reason for me to need extra surgery but bodies can be so unpredictable… I do think I am healing well though, I have been still able to do some things like getting dressed hasn’t been much of an issue formme either. It can be a lonely experience I’ve found and the only thing to keep you company is this forum. You seem to have had a tough time, I hope your feeling tip top as soon as!!! xxx
