Hey everyone. So I’m POD3 and on my way to the hospital!
Had pain in my leg yesterday and early this morning it seemed worse so I rang the out of hours gp who suggest I get my self to the hospital for a blood test to rule out DVT! I’m so worried!
Also in agony as I stopped co codamol it was making me projectile vomit every time I took it! Hoping they will give me something else in the hospital.
Pain is by far the worst today. They are still very high on my chest so not even reassuring to look at! Feeling a bit sorry for my self!!
🙁 anyone else felt this way? Xxx

Have you contacted your nurse? Maybe get a booking with her so she can look at the implants to see if they are ok? Hope you’re ok and feeling better soon I’m not much help as I haven’t felt the same but maybe email her the photos to put your mind at rest xxx

Sorry to hear this. I really hope you feel better soon. I sent you a private message last night , did it come through. Hang on in there. The co codamol made me feel sick too Hun. The pain did get worse before it improved so this may be normal. Day 5 was the worst for me. I feel so much better now though. I’m day 11. From day 9 I’ve felt a lot better. Mine are also sitting high on my chest, the muscles have contracted but they will settle and drop over time. I had unders and this is what I was told. Take care. Xx

Thanks for the support everyone I’m finally home! They took bloods and then scanned me for DVT and all was clear and fine! I was a nervous wreck and crying before the scan but so pleased to be home and had the all clear. My nurse was brilliant at mya and kept calling to check on me and spoke to my surgeon too and my PC called and text me also. I have read a lot of people being negative about post op care and initially it worried me and out me off but my nurse and PC have been so supportive I cant fault them at all they have been brilliant.
Can’t wait to get some sleep now. My arms felt like they were falling asleep too which made me worry even more but then told me to wrap up warm and rest as I was freezing cold and they said that wasn’t good for me.
Im really happy I got it all checked out though and got the al clear. I think if in doubt we can’t be too careful, especially when we have waited for so long for BA!
Thanks for all the support everyone xxx

Glad ur feeling better Lorna! I had a scare with my leg/arm too few days after my op. I saw my surgeon she gave me more socks and some tranexamic acid and just told me to totally rest up. The nurses are great and the emergency line really does make a difference xx
