So I’m on day 5 now and suffering really bad. I haven’t slept properly at all since the op from sleeping upright and the pain and so tired now! Yesterday was slightly easier than this but today the electric shock, burning, shooting type pains are really strong and I’ve been taking codeine and it hasn’t helped at all. If I need to get up from bed I need someone to help me still and want to scream through it it hurts so much! I have my 1 week check up appointment on Thursday and have no idea right now how I’m going to get there. I did have unders and a mastopexy with nipple reduction so I understand that’s why I’m in a lot of pain but just wondering if this has been the case for anyone else as I see a lot of people saying they are better around day 5! Any help would be great xx

Hey Hun. Sorry to hear you’re still having a hard time 🙁 I’m also 5DPO and my post op appt is also on Thursday. I had Unders but only a enlargement and no other procedure.
I was in absolute agony the first 3 days, yesterday I was just violently sick all day and today I’m feeling much more myself but I’m still in pain. Getting lots of weird pains and sensations in my boobs and they’re so much more swollen today so it’s quite hard to move. I had to stop taking my antibiotics and the codeine as per my surgeons advice due to the violent sickness it gave me.
Today’s the first day I can comfortably get out of bed without assistance and can dress myself etc. I think a lot of the people you’re seeing 5DPO who are feeling better just had one procedure.
As hard as it is just try and be patient and focus on healing, rest lots, be really gentle with your boobies, eat lots of protein, drink lots of water and before you know it you’ll be feeling better too!!!
As for post op on Thursday what clinic are you with? I’m with the Cardiff clinic and am getting a lift there for my post op so just let me know if I can help you out getting there at all!!
Happy healing Hun keep us updated with your progress xx

It’s good to hear from someone who had their op the same day as me 🙂 Ah pleased to hear you’re feeling slightly better today although it’s a shame about all the sickness you’ve had! I guess us having unders makes the recovery a lot harder but I didn’t know it would be this hard. Just spoke to the nurse and she said this pain is normal for all i had which is reassuring but to maybe go to see my gp and see if he can prescribe a similar pain killers to the one they gave me so going to try and give that a go. She also said don’t underestimate ice as can really help so I might try that too.

Aw thank you so much but I’m at the London Clinic. As horrible as this sounds I still haven’t washed my hair or properly washed at all since the op I’m that helpless! Hopefully I can get painkillers from my gp and manage to sort myself out a bit before having to go back on Thursday.

Trying to eat when I can and all the right healthy things and drink as much water too. I am so pleased I’ve done it and with the results and as mad as it sounds would probably do it all over again even though it’s this bad haha

Hope everything goes well with you and your recovery 🙂 xxx

I’m not 17DPO and I was getting the wrong pains burnin and shooting and I started to get a little bit worried and paranoid about the pain ain’t was only in one boob.. but I had no symptoms of infection and now I’m feeling find and I’m confident that all is ok. I thinkmynpain stopped about 3 days ago so don’t panic too much as I was defiantly panicking a little bit but now I feel totally fine. I still have the pain in one boob in the mornings but it goes after about 30’linutes. Sorry, my autocorrect is terrible so excuse me if this makes no sense

Hey jessica, i had everything that you has except i had overs 9dpo now..i have had the same pains as you and its very uncomfortable, if you feel you’re not managing you could go to your GP and get some pain relief? The post op hurt me more tbh (not to worry you) they just change the dressings but it hurt me haha 🙁 its just a weird sensation on your nipples! Hope your pain goes down hun x

Thank you Shanny and Poppy, it’s reassuring to know I’m not the only one who’s pain has lasted a bit longer! I think I am slightly better than yesterday as long as I keep on top of my painkillers constantly though!

Poppy, I was thinking about that. My nipples feel weird anyway especially if I accidentally brush them or touch them so I am not looking forward to getting the dressings changed! Hope your recovery is going well x

    Hi Jessica

I have also suffered very badly, so you are not alone! I am 10 days post op today and feeling a bit better, I have been pretty much bed ridden since the surgery, for me it’ seems a very long, slow and hard recovery. I hope that you are feeling better already. X

Hey Fern, a lot better thank you! Most of the pain has gone and started to do normal things again. Healing is going well thanks, I am so happy and so pleased with them. Got to see under my dressing last week and was worried about scarring from the uplift but they are so much better than I thought they’d be and so neat. Get the dressings off on Thursday so can’t wait to fully let my incisions heal. As awful as the pain was, so worth it! I always wanted unders so would do it all again for the results and I’m so pleased I had an uplift too. Good luck with everything and keep me updated with your results 🙂 xx
