Hi girls, do any of u know the emergency nurse contact number for if u had your surgery at Preston? I’m 11 days post op and just been up to beck on them and there’s quite a bit of blood and liquid coming out of the underneath incision and sorry to be gross but it’s got a bit of a nasty smell 🙁 I feel ok, no temp or anything but worried it may develop into something if I don’t see someone soon, I’m not due for my 2 week post op till Thursday and don’t think it’s wise to wait that long x

Thanks jess 🙂 hi bea, no its not a lot really it’s only a little bit if I wipe a tissue over it but it was more the smell that made me think of infection, after looking at it closer it’s more brown than yellow, my boobs not painful at all, they get tight quite a bit throughout the day but that’s it. What happened with u hun? X

Get yourself in to see your clinic nurse Hun! On Wednesday I rang my nurse as I had a tiny bit of fluid coming out from under the scab on my incision so I booked in for the day after to see her, she took a swab and put a dressing over it and basically say ill go back to see her a week later and she’ll send the swab off. On Friday I had a call off the nurse to tell me my surgeon was in the clinic and I had to go straight to see him, he had a look and squeezed my boob and fluid was coming out of a whole that hadn’t healed before I knew it he was telling me I had to go to preston hospital the next day to have my implant removed, the pocket cleaned and implant then put back in, incase there was an infection inside. I wasn’t expecting any of this as it wasn’t painful or the fluid didn’t smell, I thought it just have plaster on it and put on antibiotics. I’m not saying this to scare you I’m just saying it so you get onto them straight away and don’t wait expecting for it to clear yourself! I noticed it Wednesday night, seeing the nurse on Thursday then was back in hospital going through it again on Saturday (yesterday) Fingers crossed all will be ok for you Hun! xxx
