Really confused with what bra to get as the nurse said I should get a back size bigger in a Macom to accommodate swelling ? Also which m&s bra is the one everyone is getting after surgery as there are so many I was thinking of getting one m&s and one macom ? Also will two weeks of help at home with children be enough in having 375cc unders from a very empty a cup ?

M&s zip up front high impact sports bra, m&s also do a good post op zip up front sports bra!! I went up back size with Macon for swelling and bloating tbh, and oi don’t need to worry about cup size with Macon!! But might be idea to order to sizes to try and send one back xx

Hi Hayley I got a medium size macom although before surgery I was a 32AA so very small, my macom does fit well, I also bought a zip up front support bra online which is sooo comfortable! In regards to children I got my mum to have my 2 for the week whilst my partner looked after me, when my mum bought the kids home to see me over the first week it was hard as you are in pain and they want your attention, I no without my mum having the week off work I would of struggled with my recovery in the early days … I’m 9dpo now and kids are back home with me and things are a lot easier, but definitely the first 3 days to recover without the kids was a god send. I hope this helps and best of luck with surgery xx

Hi Hayley, I used the high impact, post surgery bra from M&S (front zip) and its given me really good support.

I had overs so I know that recovery is sometimes quicker, however I’ll let you know how I’ve found it with two children if it helps. have a 9 month old and a 4 year old so the little one particularly needs lost of picking up etc. Luckily my husband was able to help for two weeks, I think it was a steep learning curve for him….lol. My little one still wakes in the night for a feed so he did all the night feeds!! By the time the two weeks was up I felt okay. I was tired the few days but my husband does work away so i was literally doing everything on my own from that point. Now I’m almost 4 weeks post op and feeling fine xx

Ah that’s a coincidence Hayley!! Yeah my little one always wakes, things are so much easier now though. Hard in the early days but it will all be worth it. I’ll try and find the link for the that sports bra x
