    Hi girls,

As stupid as this might sound I don’t know what bra size I am. I’ve not long come to the end of my weight loss journey where I lost 2st 4lbs and could really do with some help as Google results are so contradicting!!!

I’ve got my op booked in November so cup size isn’t so much of a problem, it’s my band size as I need to know that for my post op bra.

My under bust measurement is 30″ and after searching online some results say your actual under bust measurement is your band measurement – so this would mean I am a 30A. However, other results say to add 4 to your measurement if it’s an even number and 5 it’s odd – this would mean that I’m a 34A.

I ventured out to M&S as I thought they’re sizes would be most reasonable and tried a selection of sizes on and I could just fit into a 32″ and a 34″ was fine. I did want to try bras on from a variety of places but annoyingly the only other shop near me didn’t have any out because of the sale ?

Does anyone know whether M&S sizes are true to size or whether I should try somewhere else?

If you ladies know what your under bust measurement is and whether that is the same as your band size that would be so helpful ?

    Thanks @emily2990
I used they’re calculator before and it suggested something ludicrous, I can’t remember what exactly but it was something like 28F ? which I assure you I’m not. Lol. I’ll try again as maybe I did something wrong. Xx

I thought the same, no way can I be a 30f, and my sister was laughing so much about it, but went in debenhams, and tried on 32d, and it was loose, so tried 30d, boobs fallin out, kept going up cup sizes, and 30f/ff! Was shocked to say the least, but wanted a starting point. It sounds huge, but it’s equivalent to a 32dd and 34c! You just have to remember go down a back size and up two cups (trust me taken ages to get my head around that!) just trust it and you will be surprised how much better your bras fit xxx

    Hey @madmamato5
I’ll have to go to Debenhams and try some on then as I could only just fit into a 32 at M&S so I’m struggling to see how I’m apparently a 28, unless M&S are poorly sized.
The other bra measuring results say that for every inch difference between my actual under bust (30″) and my bust (33″) i.e. 3, relates to what my cup size is. It’s an inch for every cup which would mean I’m a 30C but I’m still struggling to believe it – I don’t have boobs! Lol. I might have to make bra sizing my mission this weekend. Xx
