Waterwipes which are chemical free! (approx £2.49 Superdrug) to clean everywhere I can’t reach lool

    Eau Thermale spring water
(approx £7 I think from larger boots and posh chemists)
I use this everyday to set my makeup and make it dewy also on holiday it’s amazing! It’s good for soothing hypersensitive and irritated skin. Really expensive but worth it. Evian do one too thts about a fiver but it’s a little harder to find and I don’t think it’s hypoallergenic)

Prunes to help me go as I’ve had experience of constipation after painkillers with my wisdom teeth out and really want to assist it naturally. I’ll also have peppermint tea and eat blueberries as they’re really good to take for after surgery packed with vitamins and they’re an antioxidants

;I also have complan shake (£3.19 Tesco) in strawberry flavour as its a meal in a glass packed with vitamins and minerals. The toast and tea was not enough for me!! I’m only 8.5 stone but I can eat a lot and have fast metabolism.

My bigger boob is a lot more swollen but it had more skin cut away during the mini uplift. I plan to have pineapple juice mixed with water when I get home to aid the swelling. Trying not to have too many sweet things as this may bring on thrush especially when taking antibiotics due to my body being stripped of good and bad bacteria/flora in my lady parts lol! It’s also good to follow up with a prebiotic drink or supplement after a course of antibiotics to get the good bacteria back in your system and get ur glow back.

Last but not least drink water like a fish to cleanse ur body of the anesthetic I’ve gone three times already.

Omg I’ve written an essay here but post op food is vital in recovery I’ve been researching for 6 months!! #geek

@fran32 hi, I’m an overnight case like you – what time were you discharged the next day? I haven’t had my admission time yet either (I’m in on Monday) ……what time was yours to give me a rough idea! x

Hiya @allybongo I got an email and phonecall which I missed on the Friday. My admission was set for 9am.
Then on the Sunday after midday I think I got a phonecall saying my admission had changed to 7am.

On the day I was the first in theatre for my surgeon. Went in around 8;45/9 can’t quite remember. I had a lengthy surgery about 3hrs I think as I had a mini uplift. Then I slept in recovery for an hour. The timings are a mystery because my mum left and came back so o can’t confirm everything! Hope that helps!

Also I didn’t eat from about 8/9pm the night before and I think that really helped because I wasn’t nauseaous at all and haven’t thrown up at all! Try to eat light the day before I really think it helps and drink loads of water afterwards to flush out everything! Goodluck hun and enjoy ur day I felt really pampered and glad I had to stay overnight fx

Oh and ur discharge time is 10am but I left about 10:20 as my room wasn’t being used so they said there was no rush. The traffic in London will be bad for a few days I think to do with the train strike action. It took an hour for me and it should have only taken about 30m by car. I took an uber @allybongo

@fran32 thanks for this info….it’s really helpful. A 7am admission would be a bit tricky (I live a couple hours drive away!). I had assumed that as I’m an overnight case that my admission would be afternoon but clearly not!
Last time I had an op I had really low blood pressure after the anesthetic so I’m happy to be overnight but I’ve never stayed overnight in a hospital before but the Fitzroy sounds more like a hotel!! Ha ha!
Thanks for the eating tips too…..
You had Fuimara didn’t you? Did you take arnica before/after? I have also bought some Vit E for afterwards too

@charlottefiona29 I don’t know what is going on with the site! U could cancel the request and I can try and add u?

    @allybongo
yes I had Dr Fiumara she is a gem! I haven’t taken arnica or vit E. I just went back to my pre op supplement plan (magnesium, zinc, vit c and feroglobin iron supplement)

@allybongo I’m so happy I had to stay overnight due to having mini uplift too I was in surgery for about 3hrs. Seriously I would suggest if u could to just get a hotel the night before and not have to struggle with a drive in case u get a 7am.

U can always try a make a request. I contacted my pc and asked if I could get an early one. I was given 9am then got a call the day before asking me to come in for 7am which I didn’t mind at all. I was first on the list for my surgeon so no waiting around. It was so speedy plus once the morphine had worn off I was out of it and very dizzy! That wasn’t until I got home and it really scared me I nearly fainted.

I would say make sure ur house is really tidy and everything u need is laid out when u return. I got the nurses to give me some of the shot glasses they put ur meds in to take home.
I marked timings on the shot glasses with a felt tip and mum put whatever I needed according to the time. Then I set my alarms on my phone. 6am, 10am, 2pm and 6pm.

I also swapped my cocodemol for plain paracetamol as I think it was really messing me up making me dizzy and nauseous. I think it makes the bloating worse too.

I have got a little bloating but it’s not bad or uncomfortable. The paracetamol Is actually doing a great job despite my surgery being a lot more invasive! Hope that helps fx
