Pre-Op Preparation – Do's & Don'ts – I've forgotten!!

Hi ladies 🙂

So 2 weeks today i will be having my re-op…. my previous op was over a year and 2/3 months ago and I’ve forgotten the do’s and don’ts in preparation!

What do i need? what should i do??

Please help :)xx

Make sure if you shower that you try not to us shower gel if possible! This is on the day!
No deoderent
No perfume
No make up
Or moisturisers
No acrylics or nail varnish
Hair up with a no metal hair band
No piercings left in
You wanna be as natural as possible!
Hahaha!
Dos!
Comfy clothes! With a baggy or zip up front on the top! As lifting your arms is too difficult
Bottle of water for there and back for the journey!
Sports bras
I’d say get some anti sickness tablets just incase!
And for at home your V pillow and maybe a neck pillow just incase you need it!

I completely forgot also when I went for my re-op still struggling to remember what I should be doing PO as haven’t seen my surgeon yet and it’s 3 months PO… Why the re-op? It’s not nice going through it again:/

I have a belly piercing and they let me put in a plastic clear one oh ad but some ice packs in for afterwards

I did both fingers and toes, but then was wearing the looovely socks for surgery anyway!

Yea it depends on the surgeon I think! I couldn’t unto my bar in my ear.. I tried, my mum tried, the nurse tried! But my surgeon was the only one to undo it haha! He wouldn’t let me have it in!x

Hey girls what about waxing/shaving .. Is it ok to do so a day before your op? X

Last time i remember i had to take all my piercings out – i forgot about my tongue bar i forget its there sometimes and just before i went to sleep i was on the table and the doctor was like STOP shes got a piercing LOL. I’d advise taking them all out because the metal can react to surgeons tools etc it would heat up!! i’d rather not take the risks.

Waxing and shaving cant see that being a problem before, id prob do it a day before at least because you cant moisturize before your op and i hate not moisturizing after.

@alli i have to have a re-op because i’m having problems with my unders 🙁 They haven’t dropped or settled at all! They are still sitting so high on my chest with no bottom fullness they look square and horrid. Dr Singh is my new surgeon and he is fixing this for me 🙂 either by oeprating on the muscle, or taking me Over the muscle instead. nervous!! xx
