Pre op today! Forgot to ask a few questions though if any one can help pleas?!

Hey I’ve had my pre op today and the nurse was so lovely! Was a lot to take in again! Feeling so excited now but a little nervous, my pulse was a little high but blood pressure was fine.
I forgot to ask a few questions though…
Do you keep your strapping on until the following week when u see your nurse again? And do you need to clean your incisions your self? Also worrying I might be on my period does anyone know if this will affect my surgery?

You leave it on until you see the nurse and your not allowed to get the incisions wet at all so no no to cleaning and period wise other ladies have said wear a towel rather than tampon and cotton knickers good luck! Xxx

Yes you physically won’t be able to use tampons I had such an easy recovery up and shopping day after very little pain but because of the tightness of my chest and how much skin had been stretched it hurt to try as you could pull a stitch xx
