Hi girls I have my pre opp tomorrow and was wondering if I need to take anything with me. Also is there anything I should ask the nurse. Opp is on 27 August feeling a bit nervous about it all tbh. Any advice anyone please. Xx

You don’t need to take anything with you Hun , they just ask you questions and take some swaps , weight height and blood pressure . Don’t been nervous you’ll be fine I was really scared on the lead up to my op but it was fine you really don’t have anything to be nervous about X

@sarah-2 thank you, when did you have your op ? Who was your surgeon? Hope you don’t mind all the questions. It’s nice to hear the progress of others. Xx

Hi Maxine , had 275cc tear drops , my recovery has been fine I had no pain so lucky didn’t have to take any pain killers , just got the twinch of pain but that just nervous repairing , and the second night I remember shivering but it wasn’t cold but I think that’s just might be your body’s reaction to having something new in your body . And my insinions sometimes stung a little , but it’s was all bearable and I’m normally a right wimp when it comes to pain ?.. The only think I found hard was sleeping on my back and had a few nights where I had no sleep at all but I’m am sleeping fine on back now must have got used to it …
And I went back up driving after five days the first week I couldn’t really do as much as I normally do but I was never in any pain you’ve just got to get used to resting for the first week , oh and the not showering drove me mad , but once I sore the nurse she said I could shower . Hope this helps sorry it’s so long was just trying to think of everything , but don’t be scared or nervous about the op you’ll be fine and all the nurses at the hospital was lovely Xx??

You will be fine. I was exactly the same, worrying myself stupid over it, whether i had made the right decision, what if they are too big, what if i dont like the surgeon etc. I had bloods taken at my pre-op, as well as the usual checks, as i had a hemorrhage when i had an emergency c section a few years ago so they just wanted to make sure i was ok clotting wise. The surgery went great, the nurses were really lovely and the surgeon was really reassuring. I’m almost a week post surgery and i’d say it was definitely the right choice, although i’ve got some weeks/months yet before i get the final result. There is nothing to worry about, follow your surgeons advice and it will be fine xxx
