Ive woken up this morning feeling a bit less painful than day 1/2, but i have a rash up my side/belly 🙁 I went to see my GP, she doesnt seem to think its an infection because its not just around the incision site, she thinks i have taken an allergic reaction to something in hospital, has anyone else had this :(? Been given an antihistamine to see if it clears it up…. will try and add photos!

Hi Chloe, I am nearly 3 weeks post op…
just going through the forum and saw your post!
Really strange but I had the same thing after I had my strapping taken off, so that would have been 1 week post op… literally didn’t have it and as soon as the strapping was off my whole stomach was covered in red dots. They lasted about 3 days for it to fully clear. The nurse checked and said probably a skin irritation from all the stress and nerves etc.. I just took some antihistamines! All good though now, so might be something similar to what I had! Just keep an eye xx

Thanks girls, i went back to see my consultant as the anti histamine hadn cleared it and he said he thinks it was my dressings, so he removed them and put steri strips on instead as everything seemed to be healing well! x
